It was an honor to join the Alliance of South Asian American Labor (ASAAL), including many of our community’s small business owners. Small businesses are the backbone of Queens’ economy. I’m fighting back against the President’s tariffs, which are driving up costs for everyone. (1/2)

Thanks to everyone who stopped by my recent mobile office hours event in LeFrak City! If you weren’t able to stop by and need assistance reaching a federal agency, like the VA, IRS, Social Security, the U.S. Passport Agency and more, give my office a call at (718) 358-MENG.

For too long, scammers have stolen SNAP benefits from New Yorkers, leaving families struggling to put food on the table through no fault of their own. I joined local leaders to announce that New York is rolling out chip- and tap-enabled EBT cards to better protect families from benefit theft. (1/3)

In Congress, I introduced my Ending Stolen SNAP Benefits Act to authorize the federal government to replace stolen SNAP benefits and help New York and other states cover the cost of upgrading to more secure cards. (2/3)

This past week, my team and I learned that a doctor from Maspeth who works at a local hospital had been detained by ICE. We stepped in to help with his case, and I’m grateful and relieved that he was released today. But too many families never get that news. (1/2)

I am devastated by the horrific shooting at Silver Rail Elementary School, and my heart is with the entire community in Bend, Oregon. No child or teacher should fear for their safety at school and their families shouldn’t have to worry whether they will make it home. (1/3)

We’re bringing a new community center to Jackson Heights! Proud to join Governor Hochul, Council Member Krishnan, and local leaders to announce an additional $10M from New York State to help make it happen. (1/2)

My family and I were worshipping at our Hindu temple in Aurora on Sunday when a white supremacist attempted a mass shooting targeting Indian Americans. I'm grateful to those who prevented a tragedy, but we must all come together to confront the hatred that put so many innocent lives at risk.

That’s why I introduced the Pray Safe Act—to create a federal clearinghouse where houses of worship, faith-based organizations, and other nonprofits can find security best practices, federal security grants, and safety training opportunities. (2/3)

SNAP skimming is robbing families in New York and across the country of the benefits they need to buy groceries. These families aren’t scamming the system—they’re being targeted by criminals. I’ve helped thousands of New Yorkers recover millions in stolen SNAP benefits. (1/3)
