Man, why do people (sometimes other artists, even) feel the need to bag on artists for their stylistic preferences? It’s so unnecessary. Like ok, you don’t like whatever style, but that doesn’t make the artists who’ve chosen it somehow lesser or deserving of shade.

Even worse is when shade is thrown out of hipsterism/contrarianism, where the distaste comes purely from the style being trendy or popular. It’s so stupid. Can’t we just drop the gatekeeping and celebrate people who have chosen to create, even if what they make isn’t our cup of tea?

We need to start making 60-80 episode animated shows about a lovable crew doing low-stakes episodic adventures again. TV like that is amazing for decompressing after work and generally puts me in a good mood but it’s in depressingly short supply.

To artists using 27” monitors, do you have a strong preference between “medium” and “large” graphics tablets? Looking to replace an ancient 20 y/o Intuos3 9x12 (which has been great, but drivers are getting shaky) and am considering either an Intuos Pro Medium/Large or Xencelabs Medium.

How does one be a fun and interesting person while also excelling at being a responsible adult? Feels like these things are almost mutually exclusive at times, and it only gets worse with age. I miss being a teenager where it was practical to be carefree and routinely get lost in creative pursuits.

You are up to date.
