Not your action hero. I make #cyberpunk inspired #synthwave music and write lots of code.

One of my biggest pet peeves about the Fast & Furious movies is that they are centered around cars and driving, and yet the star is Paul Walker instead of Adam Driver. Not to mention a guy called Vin Diesel driving a petrol powered car.

MFW I invest half my life into music production and live performances and I overhear people talk about me like "yeah he does DJ stuff"

Reminder: We do not permit AI-generated music or content at Nightride FM when it comes to song submissions. Please do not waste mine or any other DJ/ staff member's time. And if you're a listener and you see an AI-generated song made it through, please let us know ASAP so we can check it. Thanks!

A side track of thought, there is a huge false sense of entitlement among newcomer "producers" who whip up some super generic track and then expect immediate success. These people don't do jackshit for the innovation of the genre, they just dilute the market to the extremes.

Hard to swallow pill: the biggest problem with the "synthwave scene" is that it has more producers than fans. The vast majority of consumers are not in it for the music and the persons themselves - they are in it for the vibe and the aesthetic. Very few artists have actual _fans_.

Face it: laser grids and striped sunsets are not interesting anymore. They were claimed by artists 10 years ago. If you want to use the yellow-red striped sun in your artwork you have to compete with FM-84 and Gunship, which is a lost battle from the start. Bring original ideas to the damn table.

It's like you can start a rock band and use corpse paint as your image but you'll never be as successful as KISS. Of course, you can decide you deliberately want to aim for the most basic audience as a common denominator, but be prepared you're gonna have a hard time. And don't whine when you do.

And if you are not performing as a band format (or not performing at all), it's incredibly hard to get people to follow you - and your music. My experience is people are no longer interested in stuff that can't be connected to some witty, good looking, positive, likeable real human character.

If you are 24/7 active in social media, gather a following for your own persona, you can easily get away with super generic crappy music. But if you stay in the shadows and just output your end products, no matter how good it is, noone will notice it. This worked in 2016, but today it's impossible.

This Friday we're paying tribute to the 15th anniversary of Drive, and remember our fallen hero Kavinsky at DΓΌrer Kert. After the public showing of the movie, we'll play pure synthwave all night long - with lots of Kavinsky stuff. Be there. Free entry!

Back on the road again, finally 😎 The best place to play some really loud synthwave 😁

NEXUS, my new six track EP is out today on all platforms. I wanted to create a chill, dreamy, and sometimes upbeat spacewavey adventure that sounds like a transmission from space. Hope you enjoy it. 🌌❀️ Buy/Stream: ffm.to/caspronexus

"Reflections On Society" A comprehensive study on the worst aspects of being human. Synthwave, industrial, darkwave, cinematic. Out June 26th 2026 😎

The new album is done! 🀘πŸ’ͺ I can hardly believe it. Now time to get cracking with preparing the physical releases. Release date and details soon. Hopefully.

I finished writing the next album 😎πŸ₯³ That means I have the songs written. Post-processing, fine tuning, sugar n spice, and studio work is yet to be done. Also finalizing the title and coming up with a cover artwork. At least the writing is done, and I'm happy with the result. This is gonna hit hard.

The Megacorp issued a batch of company brochures 😎 You might have seen them on my b-day party, but they will also be available at forthcoming live appearances. Synthwave is serious business!

"Synthwave is dead, because no new artists established themselves in the past 5 years" "Synthwave is not dead, because I saw 60 people at a pub watching a stage performance by a medium-tier artist" Come on people, it's a LOT more complex than that.

The new Carpenter Brut album hits harder than a gas station burrito after an all nighter club sesh πŸ”₯

In the past months I've been producing techno like it was the early 2000s. The groovy, classic, percussion-heavy, lots of chords kind of techno. Basically the stuff we call 'hardgroove' today, but a bit less aggressive. And I just loved doing it. Hope to roll them out spread over the course of 2026.

This non-cyberpunk #darksynth album is a complete story about a journey into the depths of the underworld in search of a spear lost many centuries ago. It is this very spear that can strike down the one who, after millennia, will destroy the world OUT NOW EVERYWHERE!
