If you follow me, and I follow back, don’t presume this is your permission to message me privately. This will get you blocked unless we have some prior connection. I will assume you have nefarious purposes, either solicitation, scamming, or other purposes I want nothing to do with.

gotta say, the original promise of streaming, that you'll always be able to find the show you wanna watch somewhere, has been proven a lie. Way, way too often I can't find what I want, and it annoys the hell out of me.

Seeing a lot of “if not Netanyahu, you get this” stuff coming out of the Israeli election. Not sure they understand what their words are saying to the world. What it’s coming across as is “every option for leadership in Israel is a fucking monster who wants to genocidethe Palestinian people…

So there is truly no partner on the Israeli side that has any desire for peace or a two state solution, the only option is death of some Palestinians or of all Palestinians.” Which I find utterly depressing but yet the evidence of the last few years finds this to be a reasonable conclusion.

On another social media site, person I follow posted that they were celebrating their birthday, showing a photo of them “dressed up” sitting at a VLT machine, asking their mom who passed for luck as they “need the money”. Umm… then don’t gamble your money away? Use your money for the stuff you need?

Have to say those reports that the Tangerine Tyrant’s admin trying to get voting machines hacked is definitely coming to mind when seeing reports and even videos of voting machines entering Republican votes when the user selected Democrat candidates.

Hoping someone on here can alleviate my worries, or clarify for me. There is a big push to add passkeys for logins to sites, as if this is a hyper secure method of login control. What happens if my Windows PC dies or my phone is lost/destroyed? Do I just lose access to the sites with passkeys?

I don't use an MS login on Windows, and tech can just crash hard due to hardware failure, and with people flipping readily between android and iOS, it seems illogical tie important web site access to either PC or phone without some method of backup, and I don't know if sites have that after passkey

more fatalities, and I accept now that there can very possibly be many more who may pass from "very serious injuries" as PM Carney described them. My thoughts, in addition to those I said last night, to those from PPCLI in Shilo who may have lost friends and family in this accident, or have some

who have months or years of recovery ahead of them. I thank them for their service, and for all they do and have done to protect our country and it's citizens. I hope there will be a thorough review of how this happened, and how it can never happen again, now that the fires seem to be fading.

I am confused by the difference in fatality count from what is being reported by CBC and Global News, and what the Prime Minister said in his speech. I understand if there are 4 fatalities they can announce, but others are still pending notification to families. I am in awe that there has not been

I am pleased to see that Trump couldn’t wait even a few months to show Canada why ordering military technology from the US is dangerous and inevitably must be taken off the list of reliable suppliers. They have shown to Ukraine that they cannot be trusted, and we should take this as formal notice.

#GriefJourney Was struck by a thought this morning that rocked me so damned hard, and I am still not recovered. It's coming up on one year, so a lot of sad thoughts in my head which I am good at putting aside, but this one.. it hurt... physically like I had been stabbed in the gut.

My mind flashed to the point he was about to pass, when he looked at me. I tried hard after to believe that he was thanking me for taking away the pain he'd hidden. Today, it struck me.. he may have felt betrayed. He may have felt I had let him down, not fought as hard for him as he'd fought.

I don't know when or even if, I'll be able to get past this thought. He was a savior for me and my emotional state when we got him, he saved me from spiraling into loneliness, and I would never want him to feel let down or betrayed by the person who loved him more than life itself. I hope he didn't.

After watching the entire monologue on SNL, I can't give them a viewer, even outside of my cable box. There is a reason they fired this prick, and the fact they brought him on to hose multiple times, and let him make these disgusting jokes, tells me that SNL leadership is too out of touch.

I know I have no dog in this fight, being Canadian and all, but I have been very purposefully keeping an even level of hope and expectations for November, because I will not let 2016 happen again. I was flying back from my last Blizzcon ont hat election day, left Anaheim hopeful, landed to sadness.

Happy Thanksgiving one and all, I hope you have/had a great Thanksgiving, full of juicy turkey, creamy potatoes, delicious gravy and enough whipped cream with a sliver of pumpkin pie to satisfy you.

I need to understand something. Is the problem 1) media never reported when cops killed animals previously 2) cops weren't shooting animals to this level or 3) People have more care for pets in the modern world. The way it looks from my view is that cops, for whatever reason(I can think of a few)

hide behind qualified immunity. You know it's wrong. You know you were in no danger. You are just a coward or a cruel abuser. You think are a big man with a gun, maybe you're inspired by the cruelty dished out by ICE, or perhaps jealous you can't be that professionally cruel, and fire at anything.

You should be fucking ashamed. When the hell did cops become such fucking wimps? Can't handle a dog barking at you? Hell even if a Chihuahua had tried to bite your ankle, it's not gonna get through the leather. More and more is seems like cops have an utter disregard for life. It's disgusting.

member. Five thousand dogs alone. How many other types of pets? Cats can be pretty aggressive, so I am sure there are some. When you look at some of the cases, of tiny little yappy pups, you have to wonder WTF these wimps have any business being armed. Chihuahua was gonna hurt your feefees?

Miniature Daschund was gonna hurt your little toes protected by thick boot leather? What in the hell kind of snowflakes do they have working in law enforcement in america? There should be 0 immunity for pet killer cops. You can't shoot 10,000+ dogs alone in a single year, as a profession, and then

have been shooting animals far more frequently than they were before. Also, people are being very outspoken when this happens, with calls of the public for accountability are much louder and clearer than they have ever been. According to Google, the DoJ estimates 10,000+ pet dogs are shot by cops

each year. Ten thousand. Now, not all of those are actual pets, some may be guard dogs, dogs used and abused who have become aggressive and violent, etc. Even if you assume only half are truly beloved pets, that's still over 5,000. Five thousand beloved pets. Five thousand times a cop shot a family

I've given some thought to this, so it took me a few days to post my thoughts. The US trade rep, Greer, said that when Trump came in, he put tarriffs on every country, and the only 2 countries that responded with retaliatory tariffs were Canada and China. This talking point is used to lump Canada

sympathetic in American's eyes. What they are actually saying is "We got voted in and decided to be a bully and kick every country in the world in the proverbial balls, then demand their lunch money. The only 2 countries to not give us their lunch money were China and Canada, which don't need us."

When you look at Trump's personality, and his actions, this makes complete sense. He is, and has always been a bully. He steals labor from workers, and refuses to pay for it. Sadly for him, we here in Canada know how to deal with bullies. #ElbowsUp

in with the evil country of China, and then they will often point out that our trade response has been to make trade deals with China, refusing to also note we've made deals with a bunch of other countries and alliances, for obvious reasons. They are trying to trash us in the media to make us less

I must say this "putting the war back in warcraft" schtick is damned tiresome. They never took war out of warcraft. Much like war in the real world, the battle field, and often the opponent, changes over time. France and England warred constantly centuries ago, but now they are allies. War remains.

So I watched a video yesterday from Question Period, I think, in the house of commons in Ottawa. The PM was speaking, addressing the speaker as required to have them.. pass on a message to the leader of the opposition, meanwhile there was rancor and shouting in the background. This is a part I hate

about Canadian federal politics, which I assume is somewhat inherited from British politics. You do no one any favor by doing this, and make yourselves look like pricks when you can't even be bothered to let a person speak. You have the right to respond, but do so with your time, not their time.

I wish you all a lovely Dolly Day. May you expand, explore, or discover your love of reading and enjoy the multitudes of worlds, locations, and events that literature has to offer.

Had to unfollow someone who posted what amounted to a 'destroy Israel' statement in the form of a photo. While I do not agree at all with what Israel's current government is doing, I will not tolerate what amounts to genocide in the other direction on my timeline. Israel needs better leadership.

I find the reporting on the Sheeran issue right now is very much, and I think intentionally disjointed. I see one clip from a concert where he goes on about how important it is to do shows for the fans, how important they are, and how glad he was he didn't cancel the tour, without acknowleging

censorship of artists, the unacceptable pre clearing content by venues, and gives his views on both the oct 7 Hamas attack, and the events happening in Gaza and the West Bank after october 7th. I think they may be the same show, but hard to say as they are clearly different people recording each.

I guess this is me saying that it is easy to be fooled by reporting, even from major outlets, that show one side of the issue, but not the other, even when covering the same person. If I only went with one, or the other of these clips, and built a view of the issue, I would absolutely be misled.

why he might have needed/wanted to cancel the tour other than "it's been a hard week, hardest of my life". This shows a 'waaaaa I've got a hard luck life' type response, as it shows nothing else. Then I see another clip where he is acknowledging the mistakes he made, speaking out against the

It feels super weird to be on a PR mailing list, respond to offers for review copies, but the PR people never get back to me to even decline what they had offered. Seems like crappy PR to me, and I feel bad for the brands that rely on this particular agency.
