The Mockingbird Foundation is honored to announce that we have endowed a fund with the Vermont Student Assistance Corp. (VSAC) to provide an annual scholarship to a student studying music or music education at a college in Vermont.

The fund will provide scholarships in perpetuity, supporting generations of music students, and outlasting the band, the fans, and Mockingbird itself. In short: Music scholarships funded entirely by Phish fans will continue - in principle, and on appreciating principal - forever!

I grew up in a town with an excellent music program which shaped my life immensely. I've been part of @mbird.org with setlist work on phish.net and later as a board member for the past 17 years and have tried to do my part to give back as music is one of the first things cut in school budgets.

With great excitement we are announcing our 4th annual Back to School fund drive. Schools across the country are gearing up for a busy school year and many can use our support to help close funding gaps for their music programs.

To help your donation go even further, one of our incredible donors has kindly offered to match donations up to $5,000 (and we’re about halfway there already!) The campaign is running now through Labor Day and we thank you for your generosity! 📸: Girls Rock DC - a 2025 competitive grant recipient

🎻Grantee Highlight🎻 Young Women’s Preparatory Network in El Paso, TX In 2025 this deserving organization was the recipient of a $10,000 competitive grant - used to broaden access to music education across two schools, grades 6-12.

As a result of the grant, more students were able to consistently engage in music classes and participate in performances and other enrichment opportunities that had previously been limited by funding constraints!

Goin to Dick’s? Play golf? Please consider playing with like-minded Phishy folk and supporting music education for children and young adults at the same time. And if you’ve enjoyed this fundraiser in the past please help spread the word mbird.org/11RO #Denver #Golf #Dicks #Phish

mbird.orgRunaway Open Returns to DenverWe’re once again offering multiple ways to play golf with fellow fans this Labor Day weekend, all while raising funds for music education. Registration is open for our annual charity golf tournament…

If you’re in Boston this weekend, come support The Mockingbird Foundation and a ton of other incredible independent Phish artists at Phan Art! Our new Summer Tour poster by Kory McGeehan is available for purchase along side all your other phishy faves.

We’re excited to announce nine new tour grants today, totaling $18,000 - one in each city in which Phish is performing during its summer tour. Grants will help fund new instruments, pay teaching artists, subsidize lesson tuition, purchase uniforms, and much more.

The weather tomorrow afternoon might be “a little wild […with] scattered severe thunderstorms, heavy winds, hail, [and a] small chance of a tornado” according to a genius who often forecasts the weather, accurately. So if you attend or consume anything at this “free event” you do so AT YOUR OWN RISK

Come grab a hot dog and support Mockingbird! We’ll be singing and grilling in the MPP lot on Saturday, pre-show. This is a free event, but donations will be graciously accepted. 🌭
