downloading a zim file of all of wikipedia so I can start working on offline Museum of All Things feature

i love my ayn thor but when it comes to games that use precise touch it's crazy how nothing modern can even come close to the resistive touch screen on the DS/3DS

i got on a new medicine that helps my energy levels so much (abilify 2mg).. it's really nice to have energy after sleeping 10-14 hours per day for so long and lie in bed half my waking hours. the world feels like such a playground when i get to be creative <3

been annoyed with how fragmented health resources are, so I made this lil site that basically provides a bunch of bookmarks and also lets you search health inspections for restaurants in different counties from one site. It's mostly static html + CF workers to pull inspections oregonhealth.may.as

The training loop for my hamster umamusume-demake (now called ham-ham derby) is more or less working!

working on a hamster-themed demake of umamusume for pico-8! some footage of the menu animations

I've been having a really lovely time modding 3DS/DSi for friends and also PC building.. does anyone want a modded handheld or a small form factor PC for parts & shipping price (no labor). it's so fun for me and i want more projects

I'm catching up on stewarding the museum of all things project... part of that is making clear that generative AI output has no place anywhere in the codebase or the assets. all my contributors are great and I hope it never becomes an issue, but 4k loc slop PRs will never be accepted on my watch :p

www.meta.com/experiences/... If you have a meta quest headset you should check out the MoAT on the quest store! Another amazing contribution by @dsnopek.bsky.social :) I hate Meta the company, but I love that more people can access the MoAT without paying the massive price tag of desktop VR :)

meta.comThe Museum of All Things on Meta QuestA nearly-infinite virtual museum generated from the Wikipedia! Every exhibit in the museum corresponds to a Wikipedia article. The walls of the exhibit are covered in images and text from the article...

github.com/m4ym4y/museu... I just published the Museum of All Things version 1.2.0! This mostly contains bugfixes contributed by @dsnopek.bsky.social ! he's been so crazy helpful with keeping the project alive as I haven't been putting many hours into it over the last year

github.comRelease v1.2.0 · m4ym4y/museum-of-all-thingsv1.2.0 This release incorporates bugfixes and features contributed by the community, especially by @dsnopek ! Many of these features have been added to enable compatibility with platforms such as A...

I set up my Ollee watch today! www.olleewatch.com using a casio a158we as my base, bc it's got my favorite color combo. I really hate the aesthetics of most smart watches so it's fun to have something in between

made a big art mood board i can look at when i'm in need of inspiration

Zero guarantees or timelines... but I was brainstorming this morning and getting excited about some ideas

finally got out to my local Go club for the first time in more than a year.. please clap

my new and decorated AYN thor! it's very exciting, I'm not sure if I'll favor it over my real 3ds for dual screen games but the multitasking (or brain rotting) opportunities are exciting. mostly been playing GC so far also a family photo of my rg35xxsp, new 3ds LL, and ayn thor!

messing around with my ipod and discovering that rockbox firmware comes with an interactive periodic table?

I built a new shelf today to hold VHS in my retro media center! and to celebrate I'm watching my official @summoningsalt.bsky.social Halo 2 World Records VHS tape that I got! (the photo is taken on my friend's digicam!)

I added the ability to give decorations in the aquarium custom colors! this is my attempt to make a big guppy out of rocks.. #fishposting

the fish tank editor is working now! I need to add more decorations and types of fish next :) #fishposting

my fish tank now has an editor... ill post a demo soon but i think it'll be really fun once i model some more decorations :)

added some animations to the fish! Now when they change direction they flap their little tails! #fishposting

Playing around with some water ripple shadows! I am very happy with the effect but I'm not sure how much of that is just bc it took me hours of messing with three.js depth shaders to get this working #fishposting

my partner had the very clever idea to make the ambient light (the light level in the shadows) brighter, and then crank the directional light up so that the areas which aren't in shadow appear as highlights. Then I inverted the vornoi noise texture, and I think the result looks much prettier!

my vision for my 3d fish tank is to have an editor where you can add different kinds of fish and plants/decorations, and then export it as an embed you can put on your site, with a little badge to link back to the editor so other ppl can create their own

Having some fun making a virtual fish tank with three.js and react-three-fiber! If you aren't familiar with r3f I highly recommend checking it out, it's really cool how easily the pieces fit together to create something interactive (github.com/pmndrs/react...)

just realized the 3 axes are probably colored like this because X, Y, Z are in the same order as R, G, B ??

starting to do some redesigning on my personal website... i want to add a bit more old-web style whimsy but i need more ideas on what to add

I made a custom homepage for my home server! Every service is accessible on a different subdomain behind an nginx proxy, which uses SSL. And tailscale lets me access from outside my home network! Some services/addresses are obscured for privacy :p

spent weeks meticulously planning out and setting up a media server only to realize I'd rather watch my docker containers move files around than actually watch any of the media they're organizing
