𝘚𝘦𝘢𝘮𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯: Works directly with all top-down recorded tests like OpenField, EPM, Fear Conditioning, Social Interaction, etc. 𝘈𝘥𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘥 𝘚𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘔𝘦𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘴: Automatically detect experimental arenas, define custom Regions of Interest (ROIs), and run complex downstream spatial-behavioral analyses.

𝘍𝘭𝘦𝘹𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘌𝘯𝘷𝘪𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴: Run it locally or straight out of the cloud using Google Colab. 🎥 Get Started in Minutes We have put together a comprehensive, step-by-step video guide that walks you through the entire installation, virtual environment setup, and running your first tutorial project:

𝐃𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐎𝐅 bridges this gap. Our open-source Python package offers an end-to-end pipeline for high-throughput, high-resolution deep phenotyping—fully accessible to the wider scientific community without requiring programming expertise.

🔍 What can you do with DeepOF? 𝘚𝘶𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘥 & 𝘜𝘯𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘈𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘴: Detect pre-programmed behaviors (using built-in classifiers) or train machine learning models to discover entirely new, unbiased, unsupervised behavioral states.

What is 𝐃𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐎𝐅? Understanding animal behavior in high resolution is one of the greatest challenges in modern neuroscience. While deep learning tools have revolutionized pose estimation, translating the data into meaningful behavioral insights requires specialized setups and computational skills.

Looking back at the past year, the field of stress neurobiology has seen incredible growth. Our journal had the privilege of publishing groundbreaking work that pushes the boundaries of how we understand the bodies response to challenge and its impact to health and disease.

I’m thrilled to share our latest preprint from the lab, now available on BioRxiv! We investigated how early life adversity (ELA) shapes the adult brain, and the results are a stark reminder that sex isn't just a variable but leads to fundamentally different stress-induced mechanistic consequences
