Hello! I'm Kaylyn Saucedo, & I'm a freelance closed caption & subtitle editor, working on some of your favorite anime, & sometimes with some YouTubers you've heard of, too! I'm also occasionally a voice actor, progressing a little bit every day. Learn more about everything I do at marzgurl.com!

I like to write my Letterboxd posts before reading posts by other people about the given film. Feels like in this one, people largely don't know this film was a book by Beat Takeshi himself first, or somehow were under the impression this would be a more full biopic covering his whole life.

Even still, it seems like some are probably film buffs who know little to nothing about his comedy. Just interesting to see what people are expecting out of a movie when they don't know anything about it going into it.

I am at such a loss for words. I can't say I knew Eric on any sort of personal level. But somehow in the last few years he and I had become social media mutuals. It was a strange sensation to feel perceived by him at all--I was honored at just that much. What a sad thing. I'm so sorry.

You ever get an E-mail that seems harmless enough and yet something in your gut tells you that responding to it somehow would be malicious or phishing or something that you can't quite put a finger on? Are they an awkward writer, or is it actively a problem?

Saw Clayface. Uh, kinda didn't like it! And it's not because it didn't represent the character of Clayface well or anything. There were, like, genuinely poorly-executed parts of this movie, and I was cringing and throwing my hands up into questioning shrugs for the whole runtime. More on Letterboxd

letterboxd.comA ★★½ review of Clayface (2026)Oh, man. I'm sure my opinion of this movie does not match the opinions of other people, but I hardly liked it at all. It isn't as though this wasn't reflective of Clayface's backstory. It definitely w...

Hey, Express Flooring, whoever the fuck you are, fuck you and your AI ads that play before the trailers at local movie theaters. If I ever needed flooring work, I would never choose you based on your AI ad alone.

Huh. "Police Squad!" is coming to Netflix on November 1. That's another of those shows that has either never or almost never been streaming anywhere.

I know for a fact I clipped this tiny segment from a Jack Benny Show skit some time ago but couldn't find it so I had to clip it all over again. Sometimes you see some bullshit & you just have to scream, "NOW WHAT!?!?!?" like this appearance from Mel Blanc as a burnt-out customer service employee.

My preference is to do work, though, so if you're a content creator and could use some closed captions on your videos, let's work together!

I'm thrilled to have a fantastic work opportunity coming up, but it doesn't start until a little over a month from now. Until then, if you need some caption editing work done, I could use the extra work for the next month! Please reach out if you make videos and I can help with your captions!

Part of my work next month requires some travel, and once I get there I will be good, but I am really scraping into the end of the month kinda screaming and on fire in order to pull it off. Ko-fi is still open and still selling stickers! Just getting to the work opportunity next month is all I need.

In this context, how do the cactuars relate to the chocobos? Far as I know, they are unrelated.

More often than not, the phrases that are like, "Well, do a thing and call me a thing!" at least have things that relate to each other in context. One of my favorites from the Tiny Toons Summer Vacation movie is, "Well, skin me alive and call me luggage!" You call him luggage BECAUSE he was skinned.

Went to a Goodwill with a bunch of Chinese VCDs inside a CD wallet. The title of these discs says Smartkids, but upon first glance, the font GENUINELY made me believe it said Shartkids.

Holy shit, that's the first time I've been impressed with a game trailer in a while, and we only see it now that the game is cancelled. We live in an actual hellscape. You just know the reason we're seeing this now is because a former BioWare employee is in their "I Don't Even Give A Fuck Now" era.

Went out earlier to sit in an audience. Heard 1950s & '60s rock. I sang some lyrics but the lady next to me said, "I don't know any of the lyrics." I said I knew them thanks to having boomer parents. Trying to decide how I feel when she replied, "You don't look old enough to have boomer parents." 🤔

I appreciate how it can be interpreted as a compliment, but you would have had to have heard the delivery. She was so confused, and that confused me in return. Also, personal opinion? I DEFINITELY think I look old enough to have parents born in the 1950s (which I do).
