One of my favorite quirks with putting NES music on vinyl - one of the most commonly used NES tempos happens to line up nicely with 33 1/3 rpm, so you naturally just get these cool refractive patterns.

I’ve gotta say, it’s so fucking surreal to me that the audio on this record was recorded in my basement, from a broken NES console that my brother bought second hand from some guy in my hometown.

Hi, it’s me, illusory wall’s friend. I also helped push for some extra tracks to be included - mostly jingles and that sort of thing. Kid Dracula (GB) and Castlevania 64 & Legacy of Darkness got something like 20 extra songs that weren’t originally going to be part of the set.

I think a lot of people don't realize the restorative efforts that went into this soundtrack collection, and it rules. A friend of mine re-recorded all of the classic chiptune soundtracks from original hardware, often modded hardware and cartridges to get the cleanest audio possible!
