I would like to retract the words "a" and "amount of fun" from my original statement, svp.

This is proving a stupid amount of fun. Putting a huge amount of effort into spec compliance and perf.

Tried really hard to resist but you nerd sniped the hell out of me @scott.is 😩 Gonna pull @sugarcube.sh's internals into two DTCG libs: a reading and an editing one.

Which is great for me, obviously, but it's also a deliberate choice driven by the whole point of this ridiculous years-long project, namely, that sugarcube (including studio) should just sit on top of the system you already have.

Been hard at work to create an opinionated CSS framework. Best thing in it is what I dubbed <color-mode>. It sets a a color palette and everything inherits from it. The possibilities it opens for composing is positively bonkers. Got 4 different button variants, but color is not an axis. 🧵

The night has been unruly: where we lay, / Our chimneys were blown down; and, as they say, / Lamentings heard i' the air; strange screams of death, / CSS-in-JS is back

2. An Aussie startup in the superannuation space. Theirs is a product that embeds in other products. They needed a DS that could support not only multiple themes but multiple brands. I set them up with @sugarcube.sh. Their config file is a thing of beauty 😂

1. An ecomm agency that was starting from scratch each time. I helped them develop a set of ridiculously flexible, stupidly theme-able, white label components they can use across current and future clients.

Trust is the most valuable thing we're losing in OSS these days. Join communities, chat, have a laugh, learn how to give and accept feedback, and help out your favorite projects with some good old-fashioned code & love.
