Got it in you to read 3.000 words on a baseball game that was played 40 years ago today? The greatest epic there ever was - Game 6 of the 1986 NLCS 1986-mets-rewatch.beehiiv.com/p/1986-mets-...

Any 1980s $100,000 Pyramid/Mets fans out there? Rather than recap Mike Scuff's win in Game 4 of the 1986 NLCS, I wrote about a better use of "sannnndddpaper" 1986-mets-rewatch.beehiiv.com/p/1986-mets-...

Better late than never to weigh in that I agree with the many who have said that the monologue on this past Saturday Night Live was disgusting. What's equally concerning is the number of gatekeepers it got past to air- from the friends who probably laughed hard to NBC's highest gatekeepers

Today is the 40th anniversary of one of my all-time favorite baseball games. I rewatched Game 3 of the 1986 NLCS and took good notes on everything that happened. From Bob Knepper's opera consumption habits to Len Dykstra's walk-off home run. Enjoy! 1986-mets-rewatch.beehiiv.com/p/1986-mets-...

Just finished rewatching Game 5 of the 1986 NLCS Holy sht that was some game, an all-timer of a pitcher's duel between Dwight Gooden and Nolan Ryan. I remember watching it live but have a different appreciation for it now. As tense as any game I can remember that wasn't a Game 7

Kevin Pillar was a man of many teams and a man of many defensive skills I've interviewed him twice now and I appreciate how he thinks about how he played baseball. I think you'll enjoy my latest with him here.

Honored to talk about my beloved '86 Mets with a fellow disciple!

Lots of things to like about the NY Rangers so far. I think my favorite thing is that they don't sit on leads. They attack. As one of my friends just texted "Who is this team" that does that? So far, pretty good.

So excited to interview 'How I Met Your Mother co-creator Craig Thomas (@himymcraig.bsky.social) about his intense 1986 Mets fandom We covered Amazin' autograph stories (Hojo, Strawberry), his love of Teufel & Sisk + why Ted had to be a Mets fan 1986-mets-rewatch.beehiiv.com/p/35-1986-me...

The Fielding Bible Awards will be announced here on October 22 at 2pm ET We're talking to some past winners in the meantime. @marksimon.bsky.social caught up with former A's standout Daric Barton to reminiscence about his season of defensive excellence www.sportsinfosolutions.com/2026/10/06/f...

What's the intersection between New York Mets fans and How I Met Your Mother fans? If you fall within the Venn diagram I think you'll enjoy my interview with the show's co-creator about his 1986 Mets fandom 1986-mets-rewatch.beehiiv.com/p/35-1986-me...

Jazz Chisholm: -6 Runs Saved this season and bad numbers turning double plays. On display tonight

Dodgers Padres Yankees guardians

Sometimes in sports stuff just works out Dylan Garand - finally deserving of his chance to play Rangers absurdly trade for a backup goalie Garand waived. No other team wants to sign him NYR backup goalie gets injured before 1st game Garand gets to play ... shutout in first game. Love it!
