Children’s Window reflected in the font and aspects of the cathedral reflected in the matching polished altar. Salisbury Cathedral. #AlphabetChallenge #WeekGforGlass

Spent a wonderful evening in the #Perth museum here in Bonnie #Scotland this evening, sampling whiskies from the #Macbeth collection - linked to a fab exhibition about Macbeth (the real person) and that of Shakespearean fame. Stunning - particularly the #Clyneslish, the #BenNevis & the #Laphroaig!

Hurst Castle/Keyhaven Lake at the entrance of the Solent and the marina at Christchurch Harbour, just along the coast. #PhotographersUnited #PhotographersOfBluesky #photography #omsystem #ArtFilters #BForBlue l

Typical Victorians. No forward planning for the need of a 21st century photographer for symmetry. Funicular building not in line with pier building 🤣. Saltburn by the Sea, North Yorkshire.

My cousins have discovered an ancestral link to the founding father of the Cooperative movement, Robert Owen, through their father, not my blood relative. Duly dispatched to locate his statue (outside the Coop Bank, Manchester). No indication on/around the statue of why it is there or who he was.

Edinburgh rooftops … as viewed from the roof terrace of the National Museum of Scotland. In order, St Giles Cathedral (Royal Mile), Bank of Scotland - ‘Museum on the Mound’, University of Edinburgh’s ‘William Robertson Wing’, and can’t place the fourth!

Culzean Castle, Ayrshire. Home of the Kennedy family through the ages, including a former sea captain who fled the US, giving up No.1 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington. Wonder what happened to that property 🤣.

From my walk across Manchester (Victoria to Spinningfields). A mix of the old and the new. Sometimes you need to pause on a familiar route, to appreciate the everyday.

Dickens’ “Bleak House” (Jarndyce -v- Jarndyce) was inspired by a real life 60-year court case. Brodsworth Hall (Doncaster, UK) is the resulting ‘inheritance’. Also led to a UK act of parliament preventing will bequests to future unborn generations. These garden tour facts beat Latin plant names 🤣🤣🤣

Battersea Power Station. Straight out of the iPhone. Down in the smoke for an education conference. Apparently I’m an expert, if the panel I’m on, is to be believed 😀
