Empathy is foundational to being human. Without empathy, you're incomplete. Without empathy, a person is a psychopath-sociopath (ASPD). Empathy is *required* in order to experience love. In the absence of empathy, any behavior that at first glance, appears to be love – is merely parroted behavior.

Reports from Burlington’s ICE facility are deeply troubling. A pregnant woman banged on her cell door for help after days in pain. Another woman was denied medication. The facility was meant to hold them for hours, not days or weeks. We need an independent investigation.
