I'm Marin M. Miller, a voice actor, writer, and vocal technique specialist that been working in anime and games since my first booking in 2006! Here are a few of my most well-known titles--do you know them all? That scream at the end, though....

I made a game in a week. It's a 30-minute body horror concept about ignoring the call of identity and the fear of pursuing transness in a mature marriage. marinmmiller.itch.io/two-swans

Okay, here's how my SECOND week as an independent journalist went. @verticalslice.news published 31 stories, including breaking news about the EA cuts, original interviews with Aggro Crab and Game UI Database, and an op-ed on the dire state of access journalism that a lot of you seemed to enjoy.

Sharing more Dragon Age stuff now that the strike is over. Photos of cosplayers I've taken over the years, as well as the tattoo I got to remember that symbols we use to define us do not always have to mean the same thing as we continue to change. It was a birthday gift for myself in 2015.

I also flew out to Alabama to meet Steve Valentine at his first convention appearance to tell him how much his work in Dragon Age meant to me. I cried the whole time. He was v gracious in the face of my leaking and signed my game.

Dragon Age got me through my sexual assault. I have the templar tattoo on my calf. The people who created this studio and made the projects they released deserved better long before this.

I wore these to coffee today, so if you became inexplicably horny, you're welcome

For my anniversary, I was given the ability to make everyone uncontrollably horny once they saw my shoes, that's how secure our relationship is

15 years ago today, we eloped and married in a private ceremony before having a larger gathering with family+friends. I cried in a drive thru chapel while I called her my best friend. We are not the same people we were, partially because we are together. Love is more than a feeling. It's a choice.

i keep wanting to use the words "this is shockingly well-written" to describe this, but you need to understand-- it's not shocking that it's well-written; the shock is the surprise associated with its relatable edge that cuts into you from the very start and then it keeps going, hooked into you 🔥

Insurance pro-tip: if you want me to buy your insurance plan, try offering coverage for the thing I asked about in my state (instead of canceling policies after a major wildfire so you won't have to pay out)

Date idea: you listen to me cry about phone calls I have to make and bring me a sleepy puppy to smell. Also bring me crab, I want crab. (This post is brought to you by the smell of puppy's breath: the best thing in the world. Also crab, I want crab.)

I've had so many appointments with Kaiser Permanente about this (3 consults!!) and every one of them ended with me in an unsteady emotional state. They set me up with the wrong surgeon at my first consult. But I'd been with them my whole life, I didn't know anything else. I was scared to walk away.

I didn't think it was possible to feel happy or relieved after my appointment yesterday, but I feel both. I feel like I'm in much more capable hands that are less affected by the crushing issues of our healthcare system. I could be more direct and got what I wanted. It can happen much sooner now!!

went through this process with Kaiser Permanente and was dumped 19 hours before surgery was supposed to happen. "Transing my gender" has not been an impulsive or easy decision.

All that said, things went very well. USC is not owned by an insurance company, so they are willing to argue for a more conservative treatment plan that Kaiser was not. The surgeon grabbed the problem and immediately knew what to do to help. I felt so much relief.
