I don’t even know what the political ad was for, but it was wild to see one on Sunday football basically saying white people are under threat (they’re not). White nationalism is mainstream. The FBI warned us decades ago. Many dropped the ball.

The NYT covers so many people this way. There are insane, evil people doing horrific things and they cover them as waffling figures simply trying to find their way in this world, just like The Rest of Us. It’s infuriating & hurting the nation.

I think I have to play contrarian on this one. Phishing is a major, growing cybersecurity problem at organizations everywhere. And a major part of the success is leaning into human emotion. San Francisco is the most regressive of the progressive cities of the major west coast cities now. The tech money influence has been impactful. When democrats say they love free speech except when it comes to saying bad things about Israel & they believe in human rights except when it’s trans youth, you get the picture they’re not that different from Republicans. The degree is different, but the mission isn’t. And that’s a problem.

If this is how tons of ballots in SF are arriving, stands to reason that many will receive the same treatment if placed in the mail on return. And a shredded ballot might not get counted. Don’t trust the USPS with your ballot this year or 2028. It’s compromised.

This only works if the other party you’re dealing with is also taking you seriously. And that’s sort of the problem the country has been having for several decades on the national, political level. It forces a major reset like the New Deal to undo the harms of 🤫🤞 lunch chats. I pity the fool.

It’s everywhere. Politicians are afraid of local LE & we need to understand why. Threats? Political fallout? Fear of a crime wave? Step 1 is why. Step 2 is a solve. Step 3 is complete reform of local public safety.

Pretty telling that not one person or entity had a comment on this. This smells like old Portland back door business arrangements that we’re trying to root out. We’re coming for everyone in gov’t trying to turn that clock back. Let’s get this city truly representative.

I love our journalists who aren’t playing access politics as a career, but damn if I’m not disappointed in the “opposition party” that can’t seem to work in concert with their efforts. What are we doing?

San Francisco has no Democratic Party. Depressing to see what the City has become over the last 20 years. In my ideal world, their politics would be the new Republican Party and a truly progressive Democratic Party would emerge. Alas.
