magicalstage.moeAnimating Queer Phenomenology: Henshin in Yuri Kuma Arashi and Madoka Magica - Magical StageThe transformation sequence is characteristic of henshin scenes, where characters often undergo change, are seen in symbolic nudity, and experience growth in non-linear temporality. This is significant that in both Madoka Magica and Yuri Kuma Arashi, this happens in the opening, a divider of the episode appearing every episode.
