Perhaps the most amazing thing in the story is that this Habba, no stellar attorney, is being paid $10 million a year for work that no one can identify & she’s not willing to describe. That’s nuts and smells dirty as hell. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/20/u...

#GoldenAgeOfGrift Where is the outrage? Seriously.

Carl Quintanilla@carlquintanilla.bsky.social

“.. They offered her $10 million a year for four years along with a range of bonuses. .. At the time, Ms. Habba was also a senior adviser to Attorney General Pam Bondi, overseeing U.S. attorneys.” @nytimes.com www.nytimes.com/2026/10/20/u...

It is so obvious….if you can’t win on the issues and your policies. Cry foul.

Leaked audio: Michigan Republican Mike Rogers asking for officers at polling stations to intimidate voters "We called the RNC early and said hey... Let's put police officers, retired or off-duty police officers as our poll watchers in Detroit because go ahead, try to intimidate them. Please."

I’m a financial expert, but do your own work. Corporate profits are net income after net margin. Consumer spending is what’s available after real wages minus inflation & taxes. This is why the stock market is making records and huge swaths of the population think the economy is terrible.

100% correct.

Republican politicians are *obsessed* with schoolchildren coming home a different gender because of pro-trans teachers, WHICH NEVER HAPPENS. But they are completely indifferent to schoolchildren not coming home *at all* because of guns, WHICH HAPPENS ALL THE TIME!

What’s wrong with #tRump? Everything is wrong with #tRump. When is this country going to wake up?

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

🤔 What the hell is wrong with Trump? 🤔 Trump gave a bonkers speech in Georgia that included Islamophobic bigotry, oddly sexual comments about men, crazed lies about teachers secretly trans-ing kids, and a variety of other insane rants Here's the lowlight reel:

Some combination of the U.S. government, military, a U.S. citizen that controls a U.S. company, Starlink, is actively supporting Russia. Russia has actively supported Iran. Think about that.

Ron Filipkowski@ronfilipkowski.bsky.social

The United States is actively helping Putin murder civilians in Ukraine. Trump is doing everything he can to force Ukraine to surrender to his friend and ally Putin so they can be subjugated by the Russians again.

@nytimes.com Close, perhaps. But I might suggest #tRump is blaming his failures, on others, as usual. On women, as usual. Why is the public struggling to figure this guy out? It seems simple, and obvious, no? Disappearing Women of the Trump Administration www.nytimes.com/2026/10/14/u...

nytimes.comThe Trump Administration and the Shrinking Number of Women in Top RolesIn President Trump’s second term, those heading for the exits, voluntarily or involuntarily, are female officials.

#endlesslies This guy is so small he’ll lie about things nobody even cares about.

Carl Quintanilla@carlquintanilla.bsky.social

“.. Not real,” said Alan Nierob, president of PMK Entertainment, the firm that represents the two-time Academy Award-winning actor, in an email to The Washington Post. “No idea where it came from.” @washingtonpost.com www.washingtonpost.com/style/2026/1...

#tRump breaking the law!?!?!?!? You don’t say!?!?!??

Adam Kinzinger@adamkinzinger.substack.com

Trump just threw a massive lifeline to Vladimir Putin. And to do it, he’s breaking the law. Back in 2022, Congress banned Russian energy imports. I voted for it. The law says the president has to consult Congress before he changes anything. He didn’t. Illegal. Deadly. Disgraceful. Link below!

Fear mongering with zero evidence. Open racism.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "The Republican Party, we believe that Somalia bandits, third-world gangs, and jihadist sympathizers do not belong in Ohio, they do not belong in America. We got to get them the hell out of here." More "De-port! De-port!" chants from the crowd.

We shouldn’t let it be so quiet.

NEW YORK (AP) — Elon Musk, the world’s only trillionaire, has quietly become the biggest known donor in this year’s midterm elections, doling out more than $276 million since July to try to save Republican majorities in Congress. @apnews.com apnews.com/article/elon...

100% correct.

Timothy Snyder@timothysnyder.bsky.social

When Ukraine destroys Russian data centers, hoards of aggressive right-wing bots disappear & the internet becomes friendlier. So much of politics is driven by the internet & so much of the internet is driven by Russians who want to hurt us. Shouldn’t we do something about that, given that we know it

Why aren’t more people asking why Musk is spending this much money on this election? And why aren’t more people asking why he should be allowed to?

Elon Musk, the world's only trillionaire, has given more than $276 million since July to try to save Republican majorities in Congress. It’s a turnaround since last May, when Musk said he intended to cut back on future political spending.

Let’s not forget most or all of these members of Congress get materially wealthier while in office. No wonder why they lie and cheat like crazy to get elected. #governmentnotworking

Rep. Joe Neguse@neguse.house.gov

Under Republican control, the House has only been in session for 72 days this year. Literally just 26% of the calendar year. It is absurd.

Thanks @kevinmkruse.bsky.social But it’s not “weird”, it’s choosing the wrong side of basic democracy. Oh and the wrong side of war, who invaded who. We must stop normalizing this behavior. This is not even remotely debatable anymore.

Kevin M. Kruse@kevinmkruse.bsky.social

Weird that Donald Trump's message is that people who are being assaulted can stop it all by giving up and submitting to the aggressor, so weird, so so weird

This is the response I would have expected from a U.S president striving for a peaceful resolution to the conflict. As opposed to what the Russian asset currently occupying the White House is doing and saying. #impeach #convict.

Ron Filipkowski@ronfilipkowski.bsky.social

Zelenskyy issues a statement responding to Trump’s deal with Putin to lift sanctions to purchase Russian oil and diesel.

I know the maga base is rock stupid. But how fucking dumb is this the rest of this country?

Mrs. Betty Bowers@mrsbettybowers.bsky.social

Let me see if I understand this . . . 1. The U.S. is at war with Iran. 2. Russia is helping Iran in that war. 3. The U.S. is now giving Russia money that it can use to help Iran destroy U.S. bases and kill U.S. troops. Donald is smart & patriotic like that.
