So yeah they basically opened this detransition clinic on a 10 million dollar settlement where the clinic was sued for providing gender affirming care via Medicaid. Because of the settlement, they are forced to provide free healthcare (free!) for detransitioning/reversing gender transition.

In an ideal world, anyone would be able to access gender-affirming healthcare in any direction (including detransition). “Detransition healthcare” after all is the same as “transition healthcare”. But somehow the latter is… illegal… to fund through Medicaid. The other? Free. Uninsured.

I just found out that the job that I’ve patiently been going through multiple steps and appointments for is actually just… a seasonal position. 🥀 Somehow that didn’t come up at ALL until now lol. Not during screening, background checks, badging. Wasn’t on the original job posting. NOTHING!!! 😳

Well, I mean, at least I have a start date (couple weeks from now) and I guess that’s something. Even if it’s just temporary. I was just under the impression that it was more of an actual job and not just a November-December fling. Like. It was never advertised like that. No one mentioned it. wtf

Was pretty excited to sleep in an hour before I saw a text from my mom about a toilet delivery occurring randomly between the hours of 7am-11am (my new bedtime hours), so between that and picking them up from the airport in the afternoon, guess it’s no sleep for me today.

sighs It’s fine, I didn’t want to sleep all that badly anyway. Been getting only five hours the last few days so I probably wouldn’t have slept for very long anyway 💔

I've been going crazy with the revision work for the last 30 pages of the Book 1 remasters, and after doing all the color adjustments, I'm really tempted to just cut it short here and be like "okay that's a wrap" even though there's still minor face adjustments I intended to do. :'D BECAUSE LOOK -

I already gotta go through reuploading all these pages tomorrow because it bothers me quite a bit how washed out the colors are in the older versions lol, and even though there's still more edits I can do to the character's faces, I'm like... gaaaahhh should I? Should we? We've come so far already!

Because I watched Digital Circus, I am now getting videos like this in my YouTube algorithm lmfao (I listen to a lot of ASMR roleplay DON’T LAUGH —)

A lot of my life is spent swallowing probably half my body weight of my own snotty mucus every day. I think it’s probably nutritious though. My body provides its own hydration.

Big part of being a stealth trans person is that response you get sometimes when people find out (through your ID, medical history, birth certificate, w/e) where they get all surprised and say something like “whoa, you actually look like a real guy”. And it’s like “yeah, that’s the point, luv” 🥲

I’m a terrible person who has done terrible, awful, horrible things. Like I think I lied a couple times as a kid. There’s been a few times in my life where I rolled my eyes at people. Been super selfish centering myself in my own life like I’m some kind of protagonist or something. DISGUSTING — !!!

Still haven’t recalibrated my brain yet, so I’ll see it’s almost midnight and think “yay bedtime!” before remembering that bedtime is 7am and I got some time to go before I earn the pillow.

I’m starting to really age now. Dangnabbit. Does not help that I’m a chronic insomniac so I definitely haven’t been sleeping in as much as I should be LOL. Fingers crossed for 7 hours tonight. 🤣🤣🤣

Okay I watched like four eps of Digital Circus in the background while drawing, and I can definitely see (and agree) with that person who said SlumberTown was similar to it. At the very least, in premise and the zany sense of humor. It is a huge compliment to me to have SlumberTown compared to it.

Also, I have no idea what spurned so much negative media crit for Digital Circus. I think people are just way too hard on indie projects for no reason lol. Because I thought the episodes I watched were quite good. A lot of ppl’s crit of it (that I’ve seen) is blown way out of proportion imo
