I wanted to go to bed but I finally got the compiling to work. I guess I'll make something now. For some reason WADs need to be on absolute pathing instead of the other options. #leveldesign #quake

The challenges this time around were getting more involved with pixel art and terrain sculpting. As well as following a process of sketch, quick whitebox, test, blockout, test, etc. Might make a video on what this looks like for track development

Hey #gamedev peeps looking for Game/UX designers, my really really talented friend Dæna is looking for a new gig! She also knows how to make an amazing pizza ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Hey everyone, I too have been affected by the wave of game industry layoffs. I worked at KING Art GmbH as a Game Designer for 4+ years on two unreleased projects (a Fantasy RPG, and an RTS) as well as Iron Harvest.

Getting back into sim racing with #GT7 on EU servers and some points are coming back to me after playing at launch 1. Economy is trivial for single player since you can rent cars on multiplayer 2. Controller isn’t that bad except for slow corners 3. Low rated lobbies are still warzones

so just completed #GT7 campaign again (since release) after completing #GT4. These are 2 wildly different games tackling different goals. #GT4 focused on how amateurs can progress to professional racing. #GT7 focused on the cars, their history, brand, prestige, and celebrating them

One of the very first people I’ve worked with at King Art was Bart. And let me tell you, he moves worlds and somehow has time to help lil Level Designers like myself. He performs miracles and has cat pics to back it up!

If anyone is looking for a Medior / Senior Systems or Tools developer with a lot of experience working on Consoles, feel free to reach out! or take a look at my portfolio @ bartvanegten.com !

What got me into game dev? Growing up with 3 brothers, video games was our time together. Either competitively in Mario Party 2 or watching one of us play RE4. Then early Newgrounds and GBA games inspired me to jump in and make art for the games I would hopefully make.

What got me into game dev? With my learning disabilities had little hope much would fit me other then art related jobs. When I was young my mom tock me to the Game On exhibit at the Barbican after seeing the full history of games at the time and got to play Pikmin before it was out in the uk I knew

You are up to date.
