The crew running the Compton Comic Expo pulled off an amazing show. Tons of fun. Lots of traffic. A great crew that treats the guests and creators well. Bravo. Would love to do it again if they'd have me back.

🌙 Marvel's Midnight Universe is getting even darker! New details and covers for February 2027's MIDNIGHT X-MEN #5, MIDNIGHT SPIDER-MAN #5, and MIDNIGHT FANTASTIC FOUR #5 have been revealed! 🩸🕷️ @benjaminpercy.bsky.social @phillipkjohnson.bsky.social #comicsky Check out what's coming next:

Comics are dope. That should say enough but @bjkicks.bsky.social is one of the most heartfelt and kind people working in the space, plus he's a fellow North Carolinian. Give him a follow. www.youtube.com/@comicsaredope

In the pantheon of comic book interviewers, none of us looks more like a comic book fan than @beardedcomicbro.bsky.social. Genuine, infectious, I love tuning in for new angles I hadn't thought about before. Follow and prepare for beard envy. www.youtube.com/@BeardedComi...

You looking for some diversity? Well then look no further than @popculturesquad.bsky.social. Tune in to one of the best interview duos out there to get a pop culture download with Bob and Mike. Give them a follow. www.youtube.com/@popcultures...

Look, @sktchd.bsky.social is the absolute gold standard we are all just trying to keep up with. The breath of comics knowledge in that brain is insane which normally doesn't translate to personable, but dammit if he doesn't have both. Sub up and check out his Patreon. www.youtube.com/@sktchdcomic

There are not better ambassadors for the medium than @sidewalksiren.bsky.social and @mouthdork.bsky.social. Their positivity and joy interacting with creators always puts a smile on my face and I can be a dour SOB. Give them a follow. www.youtube.com/@comicbookco...

@keepingitgeekly.bsky.social is the definitive source on the crowdfunding indie interviews scene. He's been laser focused for years consistently covering that space with an infectious enthusiasm that just never seems to waver. I love the dude. Cody is the best. www.youtube.com/@KeepingItGe...

Publishers alone cannot adequately promote books in 2026. The best thing you can do to help support the folks putting in the hours to cover them is to follow their shows. Here's a list of people I love. It's surprising that there's so little coverage overlap. Us 👇 www.youtube.com/@CryptidCrea...

Big Respect to @byrononeal.com and @jimmygaspero.bsky.social at @comicbookyeti.com as well as everyone on this list who I have the utmost respect for. Continue pushing storytelling and narratives in the medium, together it thrives.

It takes tremendous passion & commitment to produce podcasts, articles, & the like every week. Then to do so AND make time to support others who do similar work? @byrononeal.com, @jimmygaspero.bsky.social, & @comicbookyeti.com provide great examples for us to follow. Now follow them & everyone in🧵

This absolutely applies to comics too. Well worth a read. I’ve been pondering algorithmic bias a lot lately as we are running the risk of “noteworthy” indie projects only being those dictated by annual awards lists and comics criticism reduced to the Absolute and www.elle.com/culture/book...

Hey fam, the Yeti is asking ya for a favor. @solissequentials.bsky.social has a great crowdfunding project that deserves more attention. It’s a strange mix of Tim Burton crossed with some dark bruja type shit with chupacabras. Please consider backing + sharing. www.kickstarter.com/projects/sol...
