Believe it or not I turn fifty at the end of this year and I've decided to challenge myself by reading 50 books for the fifty years I've been drawing breath. Can any of you recommend a book to read from each published year beginning 1975. Cheers. #Bookish #BookBlog #BookSky #BookChallenge #50Books

Life takes our plans and dashes them to pieces - #Stoic

See that you don't do that again - but now I forgive you.

Whenever you feel yourself getting angry, don't do or say anything until you have repeated the 24 letter of the alphabet. Love this #stoic quote.

Got me a new upgrade today for my vinyl collection. This is so much better than the fifty quid belt drive I got off Amazon a few months back. Currently playing Melon Collie and the Infinate Sadness #RecordCollecting #NowSpinning #Audiophile #CrateDigging

"Half measures or backsliding on climate action would be a moral and political failure from Andy Burnham." www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

If you were to count out a million seconds, it would take you 11 and a half days. A billion seconds would take you 31.7 years. But a trillion seconds would take 31,700 years — to reach that point today, you would have needed to start counting around the time that neanderthals went extinct.

I’ve struggled with panic attacks, depression, and agoraphobia for decades. I have published over 20 novels with different publishers and made friends around the world. This is just to say: you can still do great things with mental illness. I believe in you. ♥️

Just started a vinyl collection to compliment my book collection. Bit late starting as am aged 50 now but it's slowly getting there. #Booksky #VinylSky #VinylCollection

For the first time this year I am out #Birding at #RSPBConwy. Forgot why I gave up in the first place.

Got this for my wife last week, as Lou is getting quite unhappy and frustrated with her health and life. I do my best for my lovely wife but being Blind with Mobility issues and on Nightly dialysis takes it tole. #MotivationalMessages #FullTimeCarer

Woo, happy self assessment tax return day. Glad I've submitted mine today. That's it for another year. #SelfAssesmentTaxReturn

Please share. 💔

Take me back to 1984. What a motor. #BackToTheFuture #Delorian

Today is a sad day for me today as I lost my mother fifteen years ago today. My mother Patricia will forever be in our hearts. It's a tragic way she passed away as she was found Christmas morning lying in the snow outside her front door while my father and brother were in the house.

It's hard work having mental health issues and having to look after a wife who is blind, with kidney failure and severe mobility issues but I'm very grateful for my life and the wonderful people in it. #mentalhealthissues #malementalhelth

Well today is the last day of my forty ninth year. I should be happier tomorrow. #birthday #50yearsOld

So, my life is devoted to seeing things that I cannot understand and obtaining things that are impossible to have. I succeeded by two means: money and will.

Spent a lovely afternoon driving out to #GreatTew yesterday to visit #TheFalklandArms and I jokingly said to Lou that we're off to meet #SirDavidBeckam as he's a local. Believe it or not when we arrived Sir David was actually there and sat outside having a pint. What a lovely fellow. #Cotswolds

Far too true. I'm a full time carer for my wife and have been paying into the system for some 34+years the same as my wife. Last week while Imputting my income and expenses, I made a small mistake and rectified it an hour later. However my wife's payment for tomorrow is now delayed.

@ravenology.bsky.social oh wow hey Chris good to see you here. I tried three times over the years to meet up with you at the tower to get my copy signed. Alas was not meant to be.

Bless him. Our Teddy on the bed doing what he does best. #caturday #cats #catsofbluesky

@chelchell.bsky.social How's the holiday going Rachel?

Today it's a special day for my wife Louise and I. We have been together for a total of Six Thousand Days.

So I'm currently 45 mins into a boost in Lichfield and I've not had a single order. It was bust up till 4pm and what's the betting it will get busy at 5pm when the boost ends. #DeliverooRider

This is hands down one of the greatest videos I've ever ever seen. Goto love the ending. youtube.com/shorts/alGAk...

Hey @bsky.app notnsure why but I have an #InvalidHandle again. I have verified the domain dns record but it's still showing as invalid.

Enough said.

I goto say that since finding the brain.fm app my reading is so much better and a lot more pleasurable. I've been using it for two weeks now and it's helluva awesome. Try it my fellow #BookReaders. #Bookish #BookSky #Reading #ReadingCommunity

Well worth a repost.

Phew that took a good while to do yesterday. Got rid of my old bookcase and built up two new bookcases to match the first one. So much more space in my reading room now. #Bookish #BookSky #Reading #ReadingCommunity #ReadingRoom #BookCase.

Wow, I just realised I only have another 15 weeks of my 40s left. #BecomingFifty

I got me a new book today seeing as I've been reading 800+ novels of late. I think that this will be a welcoming break. Anyone read this before? #Bookish #BookBlog #BookSky #Reading #LordOfTheFlies #WilliamGolding

Sat outside and just started reading what some people say is the Greatest Novel of all time. It's The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky. Love your thoughts on this book. #Book #BlueSkyBooks #Bookish #FyodorDostoevsky #TheBrothersKaramazov

in 50 years we’ll all be in the same old group chats, sharing the same old memes for nostalgia’s sake, in a bold attempt to cling on to some semblance of cognisance, as we begin the slow decline into the madness of death and beyond

I'm nearly fifty years old and consider myself an Oak tree due to my age and experience. What tree do you consider yourself to be and why. Love your opinions. #BookSky

I'm reposting this because most of what I've just read about is not Food but - Industrially Produced Edible Substances.

This is how I value myself. 1. Not Appreciated - Keep my distance 2. Not invited - I don't go 3. Invited Late - Decline 4. Ignored - Stop Approaching 5. Betrayed - Forgive and move on 6. Be forgotten - Forget them 7. Insulted - Outshine with success 8. Used - Set boundaries which are firm. #Lessons
