Im seeing fandom drama sparking up with some call out posts and all i am going to say for those who arent involved directly. It is entirely possible the person you like did some bad shit and hurt others, just as much as it is okay to ask folks to not take call out posts at face value

It's actually crazy, but yeah, I haven't seen or heard a single negative peep about Angel or heard anyone trying to invalidate him ever since THEY threw a hissy fit and left. It's not unusual for a massive asshole to purposely ignite fandom drama of their own so that they can RP as a shitty savior.

Viv has awareness of every little thing that happens around these parts. The thing is that she has the mental fortitude to NOT publicly comment on MOST cases of fandom drama, because with HER history of being used, it's not worth it. She and others can silently recognize assholes when they pop up.

Myself and others aren't stupid. We know that the people bitching about these two are illiterate brats who think that morality contests and zero emotional conflicts are what make good shows. They'd be INCORRECT. Let a show be a show. Let a creator be a creator. And let characters be CHARACTERS. 🤝💪

Season 2 proved that Velvette was not just talking when she called herself the backbone of the Vees. She was the one consistently keeping Val from falling in line too easily when Vox was a bitch. Reminding him that Vox was, in fact, being a piece of shit. And to not encourage him too much.

Just like Stolas and Blitzo in Season 3, I think VBS needs to take a LONG time AWAY from the fandom to gain new perspectives before coming back so that they don't go back to abusing and invalidating others. VBS earned high praise for their artwork, AUs, and creative spirit that resulted in many powerful statements about ValAngel, Huskerdust, etc. That creativity can't be taken away from them. But that fine art becomes tainted when the creator intentionally resorts to abusive bad faith towards others.

Wings said that Viv has an unbelievable mental strength, but I have to give Wings the same compliment, because damn. Wings is a good example of an SA survivor in the Hellaverse space who DOESN'T have a big head and DOESN'T try to abuse and invalidate others' stories. They're human, and they ROCK! ❤️

You can join whatever bandwagons you want about creators, but the people on the bandwagon of hating Viv's existence need to rethink the way they treat an imperfect angel who ISN'T stupid. If you hate someone so much, why bother letting them into your head rent-free? There's no point. Viv's GREAT. 💖

Too many people want to turn watching shows into a morality contest and then demand everyone else agree with them. They’ll just label everything “good” or “bad.”

after finally watching all the s3 eps in HB so far (i don’t have prime), the only conclusion i’ve drawn is that way too many ppl in the fandom have no emotional intelligence or a sense of empathy towards characters they can’t 100% relate to.

I’ve got posts from months ago warning everybody that we were about to enter the part of the story that gets very sad and frustrating for everyone, and that wasn’t special insight. That is just how story structure works. Feel how you feel, but don’t act betrayed.

This is why I hate the “it has to be subtle!!!” Critique of queer media. The fact that we can’t just say what we are or what the character is is so reductive and constraining to so many queer writers. Don’t let cis people dictate how you show you identity. They don’t know what they’re saying.
