Finally getting around to trying to get a decade's worth of stains out of my cutting boards. I don't have any lemon juice, so I'm scrubbing with lime juice and salt. If that doesn't work, I'm skipping over hydrogen peroxide or vinegar and baking soda and going straight to the bleach soak.

Walgreens give forbidden error when trying to view through Tor. I can't imagine why anyone would feel embarrassed online browsing with their real IP from a place that sells stuff like enema kits and blackhead removers and stuff like that. (Not that I was looking for anything like that)

I've lived in Europe and am completely aware of the whole insert coin to use grocery cart (aka. 'shopping trolley') at the neighborhood Aldi, but there's NO excuse for not having hand baskets available when I need to run in and grab 2 or 3 small things.

Playing around with Steam Achievement Manager for the heck of it. I joined Steam long before that pointless (usually broken) crap broke containment from Xbox's pigsty and began infesting PC gaming. I NEVER consented to have those imposed on me.

Dammit, Steam. Why overhaul achievements, but still won't allow refusing and disabling them entirely? Serious gamers set their own self-imposed challenges and don't need a pat on the head for doing arbitrary busywork.

And the whole 'extract DNA for abilities' so soon after Subnautica 2 and Metroid Dread makes it seem derivative. I recall the Metroid Prime 4 devs almost cancelled the motorcycle because Zelda had done the same thing and they thought people would accuse them of copying it.

the replies to this contain 100,000 variations of the "sickos" comic with different self-insert fursonas in them and that's beautiful

AI is generally trash, but DDG's search assist has been useful in finding the name of an obscure comedy I saw dubbed in Gaelic that I saw when I was a tween in Co. Cork.

Got three huge bricks of cheese, and setting the smoker and vacuum sealer up so they last the winter. One pepperjack, one Dubliner and one sharp cheddar. I should get more mozzarella in case I want to make deep dish.

Almost October. Soon I'll have to decide whether to continue using the only Windows machine I still have without security updates, or take the time to install and unofficially activate Windows LTSC. Also, next Girls und Panzer chapter release in Japan cinemas.

Apparently it's rabbit day. They chewed the bark off the little sumac I planted years ago and killed it, so I'm a bit nonplussed at the little coprophage bastards in the wooded area behind my lot, but as I confused teaspoon and tablespoon and added too much salt and ruined this loaf...

@ any Trails series veterans: Is there ever any explanation what the heck those straps on Tita's hat are for? I'm noticing them in Ch2 and can't unnotice them now.

We should make a push for mass cancellation of Disney+, Hulu, Netflix, Peacock, Paramount, HBO Max, Amazon Prime and Apple. They have all increased their prices as people are struggling to pay rent, groceries and gas. Guarantee you they'll respond to a massive boycott. All they care about is $$$

Xfinity's AI assistant is no different than an old chatbot following a flow chart. Completely useless. I told you 4 times that's not a relevant FAQ link you want to show me. Quit going in circles.

Ancient modem is finally more or less dead. They've been saying DOCSIS 4 will hit retail soon for several years now, so I've been putting off replacing it even as it gets slower and less reliable. Obviously accepting a rental from those xfinity crooks is out of the question.

Does anyone actually like Arbys sauce? Why include unasked for packets at the drive though? Brushing on a flank steak for night time grilling came out okay, though it mostly ran off and cause flaring.

I need to quit Monster Energy and cheap vodka before bed. Had a vivid dream of Estelle Bright traveling with the Beatles on the Yellow Submarine and doing her S-Craft attacks on Blue Meanies.

Finally unhooked and stowed the AC until next june. And blew up a bunch of jack o lantern balloons to brighten the place now that they won't quickly oxidize from the air streams.

Counterpoint to the Cloud Gaming limits Microsoft is putting on Xbox being a bad thing: Cloud gaming itself is hot garbage and no better than any other kind of multimedia streaming (in many ways worse, since latency affects gaming in a far more profound way than music or movies). It's not something
