We’ve had enough of the Trumpist FA. Way past time for the FO era to begin.

Will Stancil@whstancil.bsky.social

I genuinely believe this era of the Democratic Party is on its way out, though - that we may soon enter the Ossoffian Era of Consequences.

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

That’s it. We love America. We love what it’s supposed to be. Our love demands that we live up to our ideals. This Trumpist nightmare must end.

The fact that the president's doctors are giving him the dementia test over and over again -- tracking his decline, most likely -- and that the president keeps bragging about having to take that test should be a five-alarm fire.

I don’t believe in mindlessly shitting on everything Democrats do. But they haven’t done enough and they haven’t tried hard enough and the goddamn complacency is fucking killing us. It’s killing us. It’s god damned killing us.

…and that is why you will immediately and loudly call on your colleagues in the house to draw up articles of impeachment. Right?

Senator Chris Van Hollen@vanhollen.senate.gov

This is the result of 7+ years of Trump's attacks on @repilhan.bsky.social, Somali-Americans, & the Muslim community. Everyone, regardless of party, must speak out against this fascistic abuse of power. If they can do this to a sitting Congresswoman, they can & will do it to anyone.

I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation. I will not be silenced.

Add it to the giant pile of his impeachable offenses. One day there will be a reckoning. It’s already way too late, but we have to have it.

Andy Craig@andycraig.bsky.social

It's already illegal. Congress banned it near-unanimously in 2022. That law allows the ban to be lifted only if Russia withdraws from Ukraine. He's simply breaking the law that's already on the books.

Jon Ossoff is on Team Fight. Be like Jon Ossoff, all Dems everywhere…

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Ossoff: "Tonight, a united Georgia will hear the trial the Mike Collins. Mike Collins has brought dishonor to our state through his personal bigotry and his widely documented ties to white nationalists. And he's sold out Georgia in his pathetic child-like devotion to Donald Trump."

Trump’s insider trading is, on its own, the worst corruption scandal in US history, with $$$ dwarfing Teapot Dome. So are Trump’s bribes-for-pardons. So is the Qatar bribe plane. So is all the Saudi money he (and Kushner) have pocketed. And the ballroom. And more. Each alone would be the worst.

Will Stancil@whstancil.bsky.social

Again, you can always detect some faint embarrassment from Democrats when they talk about the ballroom, but “the president demolished a big part of the White House to build himself a palace with bribes from enemy powers” is, by an order of magnitude, the worst corruption scandal in US history

I really don’t understand why so many people remain religious into adulthood. Religions that promise eternal life in “the hereafter” are cowardly refusing to engage with the most fundamental and salient Truth of life: just as we are all born, we will all die. And death is the end.

This Truth, properly framed and understood can instill a reverence and gratitude for the life we have been granted, however short. And a responsibility to use it for good. All this stuff about being in paradise forever with The Lord. Just a complete fail.

Not just impeachable. Impeachment, both pres. and agency heads, is the only option. It's impeachment or nothing. Courts won't stop it. Other tools are impotent. Put them on trial the only way you can. Even if you can't get 2/3, use process as punishment. Make it miserable and costly. It can be done.
