Not sure how, after the Thrashers fiasco, I feel about the NHL potentially coming back to Atlanta... but with a 4-3 vote in the Alpharetta City Council approving the North Point Mall development plan ... if they do come, it's all gonna go down just around the corner from my house. Yay?

The 41st vs 60th teams in the world. By any account should have been an afterthought match. Look at how empty the stadium was... Lotta people were predicting abysmal failure for this World Cup, but it would appear they don't know soccer fans very well. Transcends politics.

So #momocon 2026 is in the books. Starting last Tuesday, we started building the show, opening to guests (officially) at 4pm on Thursday. Despite challenges, including a flooded Sidney Marcus Auditorium (water + 100a electrical feeds = no bueno) everything went without any guests knowing anything!

🚨HOLY CRAP. An ICE whistleblower just revealed a secret memo authorizing ICE officers to break into homes without a judicial warrant, which DHS's own legal training materials say is unconstitutional! ICE then hid the memo from the public, passing it along by word of mouth and private conversation.
