As a software engineer, every time I make the mistake of looking at a gaming subreddit I'm reminded how stupid most gamers are and to make it worse most of them are confidently stupid about software development.

This game has taken over my life the last two weeks and I have not played any of the games I was looking forward to in September because I just want to get back to Mistria and work on my farm.

Saw someone on instagram with an AI profile picture try to criticize the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre and got irrationally pissed off. I don't want to hear criticism of any art from you if you have a fucking AI picture, sorry your opinion is worthless.

I am terrible at descriptions and gave a vague idea of what I wanted and somehow @louceph.com turned that into an amazing piece of art that was exactly what I was looking for. I'll be buying more art in the future and so should you!

I am awkward as fuck so have no idea what to do in pictures but I got to meet Takako Fuji this past weekend and she was great. Also met a beautiful owl named Theo.

I finally was able to finish CarnEvil, an arcade game I always wanted to play more of as a kid but rarely ever saw in any arcades near me. Game is great fun and its a shame it never saw a home release.

I keep seeing a lot of people saying "well maybe they only used AI for code" when talking about games as if that is ok and that only AI art is an issue. AI code is bullshit too and is killing jobs just like AI art. You should reject both, and no every developer is not using it.

Sitting in a company meeting and listening to all these developers talk about how much personality AI has and how they just love talking to it and I want to fucking vomit. I want to yell at some of these people that they are destroying their own careers and have been tricked into thinking it's cute.

i feel like everyone should understand this by now but apparently some people don't, so: literally none of those "AI detector" things work. for writing, for code, for images-- none of em. they do not work. they're as useful as flipping a coin. don't use them and for fuck's sake, DON'T pay for them

As someone who really doesn't watch a lot of anime I was enjoying the One Piece live action show until Chopper showed up, this character is unwatchable.

I used to really enjoy software development and liked my job but the rise of AI and having it forced on me at work has made me hate my job. AI has sapped all the joy out of computing and it's caused me to significantly reduce the time I spend on my computer.
