Our new Android attack, #TapTrap, is getting media coverage — so here's a quick explainer. It's a new tapjacking technique that exploits Android's UI animations to hijack user taps without requiring any permissions. @beerphilipp.bsky.social will present it at #USENIX Sec'25. 🌐 taptrap.click

I'm part of the team that discovered the #TapTrap vulnerability. We confirmed that @grapheneos.org has properly fixed it, as detailed on our site taptrap.click Despite a small factual error, it's good to see #GrapheneOS getting some media attention.

What she said! Can we please stop being so US-centric as a community? I understand that it is hard for US-based people to leave the US right now but for anyone else going to the US for a conference always has been tricky, now more so than ever.

The reason DEI exists is so that competent, qualified people don't get passed over in favor of mediocre incompetent white men who had a well-connected buddy. Or so that utter morons who share war plans on the group chat don't hire their brother and get away with it bc they're white dudes.
