Crafts of many types, including silver jewellery, lapidary, book binding, watercolours and leather work to name a few. Also a fan of warhammer miniatures, Cornwall, Devon and Dorset. Pictures of all of the above will most definitely appear here.

Boring post for most. Decided to start the Gundam. Just a few parts done, I forgot how nicely these go together. No glue or paint is needed for an out of the box build. Only tools I have for this are snips,a craft knife and tweezers. More next time.

Well my pile of shame got a bit bigger yesterday. It’s about time I built another Gundam model. A more realistic one this time not the small cartoon type. #gundam #modelkit #robot

So visiting North Devon for a weekend has been great. Got a good idea of the towns, the area we would like to move to. It has just made the hunger of wanting to move here stronger. Can’t wait to be in this part of the world soon.

Took Bill for a walk round Tortworth lake. Last time this year it’s open to the public. Opens again next year. First Sunday each month February to October. Tea,coffee, soft drinks and cakes available for after a stroll.

Now I don’t like to use AI, however I have been wanting a new logo for a while so ended up asking meta for one. As soon as I saw it I thought omg amazing. As for AI slop shorts can’t stand them popping up everywhere.

Back home from Nova Open today and spent most of the morning cleaning brushes and putting things away. Did get a couple more minutes working on the Toad Bandit from Dragon Trappers Lodge. #miniaturepainting #nerdlings #dragontrapperslodge

Watching an old Timeteam on YouTube. That theme tune gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. As a kid I’d watch it each week with my dad. He’s no longer alive. But that tune just brings memories flooding back.

I often wondered what the fascination was with diamond art. A friend of mine has done quite a few of these kits. She passed one on to me to try out, Now I know how therapeutic it is while doing them. Yes the pictures end up pixelated but they look really good. Very time consuming though.

Just a try out idea using two colour paint. This pot is mis-shaped so is going to be used just to try different things on. I’ve used two different paints on this, gold/blue and green/brown.

Making progress on Thanatar slowly. The gap on these two part wasn’t the best so liquid green stuff to the rescue. I apply a small amount then using a wet old brush to smooth and thin it out.

Had a bit of an accident today, she got knocked off the shelf she was on. Broke an arm and lost a finger. Rather than repair I’m ordering a replacement mini. Now should I repaint in the same colours or a different colour this time round?

The little tank is done. Sweet little build and paint this was. Now what to do with it? Might put it flea bay as I’m not going to use it in a game. Or if anyone in the UK is interested just cover the postage.

This weekend so far, A great little tank kit from Battle front group(free with wargames illustrated magazine. The last Steelhelm freeguard. And a shield for a fusilier ready for priming.

I’ve had cacti since I was a kid. The middle one of the three flowers every year for me, And the one on the left has flowered regularly for me, will it this year?? The one on the right tends to just be very spiky and doesn’t do very much, But hurt.

Got some bench time today. 1. The next Steelhelm has a big sword so let’s make it flashy. 2. Mortisan Ossifector piece no1 has been cleaned up and rattle can primed. 3. Ironweld cannon barrel put together and rattle can primed. I’d say I had a productive day today.

Something stupid happened, I finally managed to get out for a run, First time since July of last year. Injuries have been a nightmare. It was tough, but I did it. Start on a short distance and build on it again I guess. Going to stick to a mile each I go out for now. #running #garmin

So this time in 12 months I might be semi retired and living in Barnstable, Devon. Our 10yr plan suddenly got shortened by 9yrs due to a large inheritance coming the wife’s way. This could mean more free time to build and paint models. Woohoo!!

I have been getting bench time. I’am now nearly there with the 9th steelhelm, an Ork I had for sometime has seen some paint. And a kit I received as a Christmas present, not started but will be soon. I intend to photograph each and every stage of it.
