spooky nails (only to be ready for halloween-themed club nights... promise i get no joy out of exercising cutesy and fun escapes like these… maybe)

super happy to have found an entirely friendly and low-pressure running and social group for trans women in manchester ^_^ now i just have to figure out how to walk up stairs when my legs are concrete-stiff two days after the run

finding GPs happy to agree to shared care for HRT is proving tricky here is an FOI asking a primary care network about their shared care stats, with an aim to eventually determine any extent of systemic dismissal of shared care agreements, and how it might disproportionately affect trans+ ppl

i have found myself in the sad position of having a twilio phone number for automated sms/call send/receive and not enough silly ideas of what to use it for

…I do hope they only released a limited number of tickets and there will still be some left in the actual sale

I could not put down Fawn by C.N. Vair! An enchanted, potent story of the steps a wildlife rehabilitator must take to protect her sanctuary. Bursting with feminine rage, and emotionally devastating when it needs to be. Fiercely recommend.

enjoying the phone and am reading SO much, but the camera on this thing is not great. 1 - takes ages to focus on a subject (and can often fail to do so) and 2 - bad at scenes with massive lighting contrasts or low light

the nokia did not work out. life depends on too many smart things it would seem. time for attempt #2: an e-ink phone (plus short blog post to go along with it) felixweber.co.uk/eink/smartph...

i have purchased a pressure canner to can things like stews and soups and stock. i then realised i have a sad lack of jars. so, while browsing jars from the local The Range, it surprised me to find that jars are more expensive empty than with jam in them (49p for jar w/ jam vs £1.50/empty jar…)

facial hair electrolysis is soso great. feels very strange, like you have little lightning strikes under your skin

lol @ knowing i pass in public bc the local youth take the piss out of my dog’s shoes rather than me 🥰

pleasantly surprised today with my boss using they/them pronouns for me in my performance review. maybe it's the makeup and nails i show off in the weekly catch-ups

these were an absolute twat to put up. but listening to kim petras at full volume on the speakers they now support makes all worth it

i don’t know if this is a good idea in actuality but the science checks out according to a paper from 2003

thank you! yes i worked out i can just use Microgynon 30 (30mcg ethinylestradiol (v potent oestrogen - used to be prescribed at 100mcg/day for transfem hrt but blood clot risk) and 150mcg levonorgestrel (progresterone)) which is available as a super easy online prescription with superdrug for cheap

the reference numbers appear to be UUIDv4s too. this medical practice is not running out of patient slots anytime soon
