I still haven't uploaded my sets from last weekend, didn't had time to check the recording, and I've had a very challenging week in my personal life. I will try to find the time Sunday evening.

More importantly, next weekend will mark my 1 year anniversary as a DJ, as I had my first (pre-assembled in DJ Studio) set at an Halloween party last year. I've got a crazy set incoming to celebrate it...

I'm so grateful for everything that this space has given me this year, even more these past few months as things picked up! I hadn't felt passionate about anything else to that degree in years, and it made me get more extroverted than I've ever been before. So, thank you!

I will be slowing down on bookings until mid-October. I’ll probably still be playing once or twice in the meantime (I know myself, I’ll end up with 3 sets in a weekend somehow). I want to give it all for some upcoming sets, and will take this time to go wild and experiment.

I’ve never found myself busier than now. And I’m so happy about it! I also need to remind myself that I don’t have to take every bookings, I’m no longer wondering when I’ll play next, I just know I’ll be playing again soon.

I might replay an old dnb set without practicing it, play more hypnotic techo, do a ambient set until the instance empties itself, try to build a set around **that song** that I can never fit in. Then I’ll pull the biggest set of my “career”.

This has been a crazy year. I’ve met countless people, felt supported by the DJs I was too shy to talk to, felt like I’ve never been able to express myself creatively until now. I’ve also been going through an existential crisis with my irl professional career, and came out to my family.

While I'm happy with what I've done with that set, I'll probably be focusing on DnB in the short to medium term, with the occasional set outside of my comfort zone. I actually want to experiment with more techno. And ambient.

More recently, it's becoming clear to me that my DnB sets are taking off in energy. While my Dubstep sets... feel a bit stagnant, sticking close to what you might hear at a festival.

I've often feared, while playing DnB, that my sets would end up sounding like a bad @murdokes.bsky.social imitation, and I've been forcing myself to experiment and play with it to find my sound. That hasn't happened with Dubstep.

When I started DJing, I spent a good chunk of time experimenting with different genres. I've done an electo-house set, a techno set, but ultimately settled on either 140/Dubstep/Trap, and DnB

I’ll be DJing at the TalkGroup summer party this Saturday at 7 pm EST. TalkGroup is the first VR group I’ve joined 2 years ago, and where I’ve debuted as a DJ last Halloween, so this will be a very emotional set for me. Hope to see you all there!
