It is not Leaving MAGA's approach to debate; this is why we avoid the question of, "why leave MAGA?" But if I had to offer an answer, it would be: because being in MAGA kills off one's empathy. When I left MAGA, I reclaimed my empathy, and became what I call a born-again human being.

The villain of our national story is less Trump and more the GOP, who have aided and abetted him for a decade. When I left MAGA, I also walked away from the Republican Party. When it comes to Trump, there is no red line for the GOP.
