Last night Whatsapp banned my account for no specified reason (I just IM a few stubborn friends who don’t want to move away). I’m appealing but it might be the final nail in the coffin. Please use: - Signal: signal.me#eu/4Y7z4DXkB... - All the options always listed at a.l3x.in/contact Thanks!

Soon after Viktor Orbán's departure it's so uplifting to witness yet another authoritarian outsted from european politics 🎉 www.theguardian.com/world/2026/o...

eMudhra's debacle made me think keeping an eye on the Certificate Transparency ledger for my domains isn't such a bad idea. I now have a Cert Spotter daemon running as podman on my VPS, thanks to @sslmate.com forge.l3x.in/alex/certspo...

You may think this US administration had already done all the possible to lose any sort of credibility or respectability, daily news of embarassment keep coming though www.theguardian.com/world/2026/o...

Now that Deno is sunsetting I decided to adopt Crystal as new language for my plumbing and fun projects while keeping Go as go-to for everything “prod-grade” To start with fun I just rewrote the IRCv3 bot initlially built in Deno: ladies and gentlemen please welcome BOTium forge.l3x.in/alex/botium

🎉 IT'S OUT 🎉 My silly little power washing game Pixel Washer just launched into Steam Early Access. Please help me spread the word and pick up a copy if it looks fun to you: store.steampowered.com/app/2572060/... 🏡🫧🔫🐷🎮❤️

A very well written goodbye to Deno, you'll be missed 😢 www.vlt.io/blog/competi... #postroll

Just landed in the beautiful island of Phu Quoc, Vietnam 🇻🇳 Don't hesitate to say hi if you're in the area 👋

I’m generally against any form of violence BUT I also deeply despise Putin, his regime, his 5yrs long aggression to Ukraine and, by extension, to Europe safety. I can’t hold myself from cheering loudly for Yandex datacenters on fire and, with them, enjoy a few days of Internet low bots population 🤖

I just can't stop watching Senator Eric Schmitt making himself the biggest fool of the year (of the century?) flagging Jack Smith as "dirtbag". Oh boy, it's true that trumpism gave us a new level of global tragicomedy but this is reality beating fiction on comedy too 🥰 youtu.be/Rb0KxHkguOo?...

Many thanks to @simonwillison.net for the daily awesome relentless work done in keeping all of us up to date with whatever goes on in the LLM world simonwillison.net/2026/Sep/27/...

New blog post: "Cheap and easy throwaway VPN server" a.l3x.in/blog/throwaw... HN thread: news.ycombinator.com/item?id=4979... I gave up with Lobsters: they keep taking down my articles… while complaining loudly about the lack of content written by humans and not by LLMs. Happy them...

Great new entry by @jimtrinca.bsky.social youtu.be/ZHBcobLl3kQ Personally I'm done with Playstation. I'll keep my PS5 (with disk) + PSVR2 gear probably for good and enjoy my (mostly physical) backlog for very long. All my gaming love is gone into my Switch and next console will be Sw.2 (or 3?)

It should really be the default for every sane human being but apparently it isn't so I gotta say it: Zionism is the worst cancer on the planet (with trumpism/MAGA coming close second, I guess?). I stand with Palestine as there's no other option, really 🇵🇸👊 #freepalestine

the openai hugging face incident gets cited a lot but what about the detail where they had to use GLM 5.2 to analyze the attack because the "safe" proprietary models refused

> All of this should make you angry calnewport.com/anthropic-ju... Hard not to loath Anthropic and OpenAI for their brazen practices and rethorics. Personally I've been boycotting them and prefer open weight models like Z.ai and Deepseek's since January, see my AI usage a.l3x.in/usage #postroll

Not that’s surprising in any way given how the US administration has been setting the blueprint for how to run a criminal and terror-inducing organization since day 1. Sad news nevertheless. keepitfree.ai/announcement...

I like when I see creative ideas on how to get the best out of coding agents (spoiler ahead: it's not the code). Very good and enjoyable talk all around by @geoffreylitt.com youtu.be/MccJdr61xnc #postroll

I remember the Mercator projection always being annoying to me since I was a kid, I hope we’ll be able to get rid of it one day or another c.org/6RSdx6XSr8

I did some research on the current state of OSS harness friendly subscriptions so you don't have to: - opencode.ai/go - 10$/month - hyper.charm.land - free monthly credits, next up is 20$/month - commandcode.ai - min 1$/month plan, next up 10$/month - openrouter.ai - no subs, good value though

If you want to message me please consider using signal.org I’m tired of having to deal with that pile of crap commonly known as Whatsapp 😢

I’ve been riding the free inference train thanks to opencode.ai/go for the last few days and I’m impressed by how much you can get done free of charge nowadays. Mostly using testing Tencent’s huggingface.co/tencent/Hy3 which is more than decent at least for coding tasks #freeinference #opencodego
