Cowboy Kyle

I’m Kyle. I play edh, love cube, father of currently 3 (former foster parent so they’re all my kids), and loving husband. I do my best to be a light to others. Will talk about grief, magic, alters, art, and my kids.

SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY! These are awesome. Don’t miss out

Last night Oath (Illuna) did everything I wanted it to. Turn 3 adventure Lindblum to get token. Turn 4 Polymorph into Koma 2. Turn 5 attack to get snakes and then use those for further polymorph effects. Add in Sublime Epiphany and some removal and we got a great game. moxfield.com/decks/uFwoG9...

Played two games with a friend to help distract him from life. Samwise was good. Despite missing my third land for several turns I ended up threatening. Dictate and Butcher suck. Oath played fantastic. Super fun. Games were great. Store was great. Laughs were had. Successful night

I originally wanted to do a custom symbol for every card in the minor arcana to reflect the their unique narratives. It was a good exercise, but in-situ the bespoke treatments became distracting. A universal icon for each suit worked much better. Kickstarter is live: ltltarot.com #tarot #arcana

Good color studies from @ralphhorsley.bsky.social on the promo Treasure Cruise for sale at #Illuxcon. $275 and $325

I was planning on skipping this set. The UB setting is just not something that matters much to me. This is such a me card though

Tarot Cards are not my thing but James is great. If they’re your thing, you should get these. Could be great for a fantasy RPG as well

How have I never seen this card?

How do I not own a Zetalpa?

Had a spot open up for any style commission! I also recently picked up a lot of Reality Fracture cards that I can paint in, DMs open!

I always liked playing chess with my parents. I’ve wanted to play with my kids for years but no interest at all. Suddenly they’re interested. I’m not great but I am determined to be the end boss and never give them an inch

Hitting the MTG Art Market auction block: Carnivorous Cultivator by Filip Burburan Acrylic and ink on board, 14.5” x 10.6” We end Monday! mtgart.auction/Cultivator

I build and a take apart edh decks frequently (granted less so these days when it just feels like too much work). I almost never miss decks no matter how fun they were or how long I had them. Jyoti I miss. The deck wasn’t even good. I think about it more than I really should. Time to rebuild

Had a messed up thought so I decided to share it. Kid3 has started watching Jedi Academy on Disney+. I walked by it this morning and thought “huh, so I guess Analin kills all these characters.”

I really love being in seminary

Sleeved and ready.

Somebody buy this

I’ve spent some time over the last two days putting Samwise together. There’s so much I want to put in the deck that I’m still working on balance. I could build 3-5 different decks

Reposting Some recent pieces I painted because I don't have new stuff yet! But I will soon! As always, I am still open for commissions!

These are always fun. What are you most excited about?

This is your reminder that, barring any medical conditions that say otherwise, you’re an adult and can have ice cream with your lunch

Traxos AP's are ready for collection! Aaronbmiller.com/proofs

Played 4 games Saturday night. I won one, and was close to winning in two more. Had a lot of fun. Primo was disgusting in a 3-player game. I had T1 Sol Ring, T2 Runadi, and then a T3 Primo as an 8/8 and just snowballed. I had one Shore Up for an attempted removal spell a few turns later.

Tomorrow decks start coming apart

Alter idea I’d love to do eventually. This but it’s Gluttony from FMA Brotherhood

One of the hardest parts of getting into scholarship again is realizing that people actually care what I have to say on a topic and I get to be an expert.

How’s your morning? I managed to hit myself where it hurts and then catch my shorts on a cabinet which both ripped my shorts and the cabinet door off.

I felt like when I was a kid that high school was easy for parents. You largely either went to college the school you were zoned for or looked for a local private school. Trying to look for Kid1 and I swear there’s more options than I had for college

Sometimes you just need to read to your kids. @cloveralters.spikefeeders.com killed it. Makes me so happy

Today is one of those days where you know from the moment you wake up that you just need a nap and you'll feel better, but there is also no time for said nap.

I picked up a Ton of the Uncommon legends from Reality Fracture, if anyone is looking to get any of them altered I'm open for commissions!

Kids1 and 2 remembered they had decks and wanted to talk about them. Realizing this they suddenly want to play together! Hopefully family edh soon

Sorry that I haven't been here as much. These last few months have been very busy family and school wise. I hope you're all doing great.

Magic with friends is fun. Slinza finally got a win. I even got to cast Feral Throwback. Two people let me live and I clawed back and won. I hit all my land drops but the deck always wants more mana. Slivers almost got a W. I got greedy and got punished. Satoru got caught in the crossfire

I’ve had a few folks ask me for a commission price breakdown, and I *finally* got around to making it. I’m also happy to discuss projects that might not fit one of the below categories. I’ll keep this pinned to my profile, but RTs are always appreciated 😊 Questions? Email’s your best option!

Hey Buddy - wanna buy some art? I got deals! Sneak over to my updated shop for sketched books, signed prints, and commissions: Aaronbmiller.com 🐙🐙🐙 Backstreet Bruiser, for MTG - the original for this painting is also over in the shop.

Planning to play magic Saturday. Anyone want to guess if I’ll have Sam ready to try or not?
