Kootenay

I don't know why distilled water is so much more expensive here in the UK, but for the purposes of getting enough for my CPAP machine, I've bought a water distiller unit… which should work out cheaper overall.

Packing done for the day pass at MCM London tomorrow. The cosplay plan: - Drogon - Athra (Khajiit mode) - Qesnel (Wingless Aurelian [star trek] mode) Decided not to do Athra as Caitian as the uniform top I have is a little on the snug fitting side, and Qesnel's arms are a little slimmer.

The shenanigans finished today at Dartford. I make that 12 new stations ticked off! Heading home now!

The nonsense continues, and even included the Network South East liveried Networker!

Mini-Koot is up to rail related nonsense again today. What fun!

This has been a crappy week. So I'm going to try and make something of this weekend, even despite the weather being moist and blowy.

@tryst.cat Happy thingy!

@chipuni.bsky.social Happy thingy!

It appears that I've lucked out in the CFz lotto again. Yay?

Coming out of visiting my dad in hospital, we encountered this rather friendly fox in the hospital parking lot. Wasn't spooked by us at all, and even consented for a photo. (I asked, and it didn't run away - so consent was assumed)

…stops for a Cheeky Nando's …is told by greeter "20 min wait for food" …sighs and goes in anyway …orders food and gets drink (note; took a minute at most) …gets food just as coming back to sit down Hmmm.

I should have been taking off right me on a flight tomorrow Gibraltar. But I'm not. Care home for dad called yesterday and he's now in hospital with a UTI. So, obviously had to cancel.

@roho.kittyfox.social Happy thingy!

Today’s nonsense included these stations.

Mini-Koot is up to some nonsense again …

And the last of the Mini-Koot mischief of the day. He found his first barrow crossing in the UK!

Mini-Koot also found a steam train at Alton, but sadly no time to ride with it.

Mini-Koot appears to be back on these shenanigans again.

Uh oh. What's Mini-Koot up to today?

Since moving from Toronto back to the UK, I've not been as inundated with how That Baseball Team named for light blue corvids have been doing. So, how's their run towards playoffs going?

Animal Control duties today with @yarwick.bsky.social and @kootenay.corvid.ing

Power came back, but not - for some reason - my network. Going to have to deal with that tomorrow morning :(

Oh joy. Power outage here.

It's Daleks versus Bikers!!

Wow. Premier Inn wifi is a bit shit. No, actually it's a lot shit. Only 1Mbps down? I think I've had plastic cups with taught string faster than this.

We got where we were going for tonight's nonsense. The church opposite has a crooked spire! (It's well known for it, apparently. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_...

Sure, Mini-Koot, whatever. It's your adventure, so let's go with your nonsense.

Of all the places this Mini-Koot adventure has taken us, this was the most surprising today.

Long weekend begins tomorrow. - Friday: driving to Derby, because - Saturday: going to a Doctor Who con, and after that driving down to Elstree because - Sunday: going to Fantasy Forest Libertalia in Hatfield

You're all wrong It's SHEKKtember.

Blegh 15 mins out from the Faire I was planning to go to today, and it's pouring with rain. I think I'm just going to end up turning back for home :(

Today really is not looking like a good day for Khajiiting at a relatively local Ren Faire :(
