Knowing Better

Free Hawaii? From what? Hawaii was an independent kingdom for a century before it was annexed. They used their autonomy to completely change their culture from top to bottom in a single generation. By themselves. We Intend to Eat Pork | Hawaii: Rise www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEzJ...

Just wrapped up filming for Part One!

I've been filming!

One other thing: if you DO NOT LIVE IN MINNESOTA, and are NOT AFFECTED BY THIS AT ALL, and you think it's a good and productive to come in here and gloat and stir chaos and dunk on someone you dislike from the internet, maybe think a little harder about what you're doing and when you're doing it.

Had to share this from twitter just because

It is finished. After 734 hours and 28 minutes of research and writing, I finally have drafts of all three scripts complete! Script 1 - 28,107 words Script 2 - 24,768 Script 3 - 30,026 Total - 82,901 At my normal speaking cadence, that 8 hours of content across 3 videos. Filming will begin soon!

One of the things I really liked about S2 of “Andor” was how few Imperial Stormtroopers there were. Lucas put them in masks for two reasons, IMHO: 1) it made them terrifying, their inhuman faces frozen in frowns, with no pity, feeling, etc. Echo of his enforcer robots in THX-1138.

Bluesky has the juice

This is the result of allowing states to individually rebrand Medicaid. Nobody gets their health insurance through "Medicaid." If you're in California, it's Medi-Cal. TennCare in Tennessee. MassHealth. SoonerCare. DenaliCare. Bayou Health. Etc etc. There are 50 different names.

Has there ever been a non-evil person who has that squiggly temple vein?

This is really on the democrats for running on a policy of not doing any of this.

Crazy how everyone's favorite feature on Ground News is the blind spot feed.

Vidcon was this last weekend and you wouldn't know it by looking at any creator's social media feeds. Most people I know skipped it and the few people I know who went didn't say a word about it. It sucks how irrelevant that con has become. 😕

Okay but, season 3 of Andor set between A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back where they discover the second Death Star and get ready to help the Bothans. I don't care what you call it, just follow the same characters.

I feel this in my bones. If everybody gets tossed over because of one bad call, action, misjudgment, statement, compromise, moment of cowardice or weakness, etc etc… Ain’t nobody left on the boat.

You are not alone. (Watch this even if you don't play the game, it has almost nothing to do with that.) youtu.be/Ro3yVfE-oxQ

@stefanmilo.bsky.social Please explain the Roman dodecahedron in Andor when Star Wars is supposed to be "a long long time ago."

So everyone's still on Twitter, huh

The US Court of International Trade sounds made up tbh Be honest, you'd never heard of it before yesterday.

Hichews are what Starbursts pretend to be.

Just wait until the rifle qualification level where the battalion sends all 500 of you to the range at the same time - even though there are only 10 working lanes.

I’m really haunted by how we’ve shifted from the Internet as a space of wonder and discovery to hatred. And we can never really go back. Younger people today will never experience that. There is just…so much hate.

I just want to wake up and not feel like the world is falling apart.

I mostly abandoned reddit after the app debacle, but looking at it now, wow, wtf happened? I'm looking at r/videos and in the top ten, there are two threads with a single-digit's worth of upvotes and 0 comments. r/mealtimevideos still features posts from 7 days ago. Did they change the algorithm?

Hey, PBS NewsHour, me again. Stop referring to the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget as "nonpartisan." It's embarrassing. @pbsnews.org

Without child labor, the mining industry will collapse!

Yeah, it's not movies, TV, music, or video games that exalt these weapons of war. It's the museums. 🙄

Whoa whoa, hold up. The Ask A Ninja guy came back and nobody told me?!?!

Book concept: People start finding books in a Little Free Library that were never written or published in this world. Some are exactly what the "borrower" needs. Some are a delight. But some are dangerous. And the Little Free Library just might have a sinister agenda...

Are any of you going to vidcon? Seems like fewer people go every year...

it's just too bad we will never solve the impenetrable mystery of who made grok obsessed with south african white genocide theory at 3:15 am

Nobody has done a video essay about Nickelodeon's Big Help telethons from the 90s. I feel like I'm the only person who remembers these... Or that I totally pledged hours that I never ended up doing. No the guilt from that doesn't still haunt me why do you ask

Do I need to understand Leos 1-13 before I watch the news tonight?

So how long until Trump takes credit for an American being selected as Pope?

That seemed like an unusually fast election. One day? Is that normal?

So many people have grown up to be the villains of our stories.
