🗓️ Save the date! Join our Fall-Winter 2026/27 KLI Colloquium series! www.kli.ac.at/content/en/e... We kick off the series on October 1 with Olesya Bondarenko (KLI) on "Scientific Integration as Fit: The Developmental Biases of Interdisciplinarity".

The KLI hosted the Science Day of the Dept. of Neuroscience and Developmental Biology (University of Vienna), a networking event for students and academic faculty, organized by @ulrichtechnau.bsky.social and his team. About 80 participants presented their research and used the space for discussion.

🌟Barbara Fischer (@barbarafischer.bsky.social) hosted the “Pelvis and Evolution” seminar at the KLI, which brought together urogynecologists, evolutionary biologists, and midwives from the Vienna area to discuss topics in evolutionary medicine.

KLI alumna Joyshree Chanam and KLI group leader Isabella Sarto-Jackson conducted a research project funded by the Club of Vienna and Stadt Wien on how ecological empathy could foster environmental awareness and sustainable behavior. Join the presentation on Nov. 17! www.kli.ac.at/en/the_kli/n...

Yesterday's KLI Hike took us to the Biosphärenpark Wienerwald. Peter Sziemer guided our tour and explained the region's flora and fauna, along with some cultural/historic facts. We enjoyed the views of Vienna and Klosterneuburg and the many organisms we discovered. #Biosphärenpark #Wienerwald

🌟 KLI Visiting Fellow Marcelo Sánchez-Villagra delivered a Brown Bag Talk on the natural and cultural history of the Orinoco River. Thank you, Marcelo, for sharing your knowledge and sparking lively discussions on cultural macroevolution! 👏👏👏
