Originally when I heard of the ai assisted translation of the game, I was sceptical and willing to accept it, seeing as the statement clarified that it's supposed to be used as a tool and a professional team would be reviewing the translations themselves for curation. But that is NOT the case obv

Yeah, it's everything outside the cards which'll get hit at minimum. Existing images already confirm this, as the team name on the right is a translated version of JP Chazz's catchphrase and not his localized one. And the lack of technical support on spaces, newlines, etc...

I also saw later on people talking about how this is being done to train the models, rather than an attempt to assist translators, which was sth I didn't consider initially and yeah. That just sucks! Writing is an art form and translation is a job that is meant to protect it. Not butcher it

it's kind of hard to talk about it with how parasocial it is, since I didn't know Cimo aside from watching his videos. But I did want to say something, since I was familiar with his health issues all too well. Watching your loved ones get slowly consumed by cancer is a mind breaking experience.
