Every day, I think: there’s no possible way it can get dumber and more embarrassing. And then Trump does something like this. And yes, this is real. It is all too real.

Using ‘free-market competition’ to ensure that health care delivery is efficient does not work, and we would be much better off with a universal health care system.

What's something that experts/practitioners in your field universally agree upon, but that remains a "hot take" among the general public?

The world needs another Nuremberg Tribunal — try them in absentia if necessary, but the record must be clear. Aggressive war was singled out at Nuremberg as the “supreme international crime” because all other international Nazi crimes stemmed from it — genocide, plunder, rape, torture, murder, etc.🧵

One may not like Cuba’s domestic policies, but when has it ever committed aggression against the US? Did they mine our harbors, invade our territory, blockade our ports, attempt to assassinate our leaders, or sabotage our economy? The US has done ALL of these things against Cuba. Remember Nuremberg:

After being held in two of them as a boy, I fought for decades urging America to never again build concentration camps and put human beings in them. It breaks my heart to watch this happen twice now in my own lifetime.

Americans' economic and political pains mainly stem from unprecedented concentration of our wealth, a few dozen mega-billionaires control 12%. They buy a lot of politicians, media outlets, & influencers to distract from their power by blaming our pain on immigrants, DEI, women's careers...

Rep. @AOC: I understand that Vance believes shooting a young mother of three in the face three times is an acceptable America that he wants to live in, and I do not. That is a fundamental difference between Vance and I. I do not believe that the American people should be assassinated in the street.

My dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why he’s so strong on it: ‘Because we’re always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means it’s not about disliking immigrants. It’s about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And that’s a bad human instinct.’
