Absolutely depraved.

JUST IN: The police shooting that killed 1-year-old Kohen Wiley as he sat in his mother’s lap in a Walmart parking lot in Senatobia, Miss., in June “was justified,” Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch’s office said on Monday. Her office will not charge the white officer who shot the child.

Hit on Dante Moore is one of the dirtiest I've seen in a long time. And Eagle and Blackledge didn't even discuss it. Say what you will about Herbstriet, and I'd probably agree, but really think he would have called it out.

The baseline level of Dumb Guy Pretending To Be Even Dumber in our culture is incredibly high at the moment, but this is an all-time performance in that category. Hall of Fame work in any era.

lol, lmao

Once again, I am unable to tell if this is a joke or real.

Trump: "If I'm in an electric boat and I see I'm going down and the water is pouring in, so I know I'm going to be electrocuted, but 5 yards away there are sharks. Do I take the electrocution or do I go swimming with the sharks? I'll take the electrocution."

Maybe Notre Dame will turn out to be good. But their lack of skill position talent has been hand waived all off-season. It is now showing. Barely a single pass longer than 5 air yards.

This Hail Mary situation is EXACTLY why all the replay review situations need to be public and transparent. There has been no explanation. Big Ten added it this year, but only for Friday games.

We have reached the point where I am unable to determine if this is a joke or real. And I am leaning towards real.

Trump says that one of the only things we import from Mexico are "hot tamales." Not tamales -- but "hot tamales." Because if you go to any crossing on our southern border, you will see 18-wheelers with huge ovens. Those ovens are set to 375 degrees, and they are filled with tamales.

And they're not just saying it will cure cancer, but that "maybe we can cure all disease with the help of AI." www.science.org/content/blog...

New in PN: Big tech has itself to blame for data center backlash "The industry keeps telling us how transformative AI is, but we haven’t gotten anything good from it yet. If a tech leader says 'But one day it'll cure cancer!', the natural response is: You keep saying that, but it hasn’t happened."

In the end, I think both sides take away what they want and lambast the other side as out of touch with American policy. Ultimately though this may rock Korean domestic politics for a few news cycles but won’t move the needle with North Korea or with South Korea becoming engaged in the Middle East

It is worth noting that reducing these military exercises is also something the current South Korean administration will support.

Robert Stribley@stribs.bsky.social

It’s hard to imagine a better way to capture how little interest Trump has in the lives of real human beings than to see him support Kim Jong-Un’s vile and oppressive regime over our South Korea. It’s a position that projects both ignorance and contempt for all the people living in both nations.

And to clarify: this is not some rogue admin in South Korea. They do not have contempt for all South Koreans and are not North Korean sympathizers. They have a theory of the case and are pursuing it. It is a legitimate policy and it isn't new or even controversial among the Korean public.

Finally: South Korean public is not what many have built up in their minds. It isn't virulently anti-North Korea. If North Korea is belligerent, it will favor hard line policy. When relations are calm, will favor engagement. Plenty of room for leadership to enact its preferred policy.

Honestly, many of the people accusing Trump of betraying an ally and siding with North Korea are disappointingly uninformed about South Korea. The South Korean government would welcome Trump’s conciliatory signals toward North Korea.

Trump allies himself w/Kim Jong Un against South Korea: “Based on my very good relationship w/Kim Jong Un, I am not happy that the US has agreed to Joint Military Exercises…I recently asked the President of SK if they would like to join us in the Denuclearization of Iran, & they said, ‘No thanks!’”

They could have tried to prosecute any number of people for this. And these landed on a former U.S Olympian. No notes.
