“Had these requests been made a few weeks ago…or even a week ago, sounds like more could've been done.” Remember this corporate phrase and imagine the NBA saying it to the WNBA: Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.

Karl Smesko addresses the refs in game five: “The contact they allow on Angel compared to everybody else is just ridiculous, just ridiculous…And then to miss double dribbles and travels, multiple, that always led to points. I mean, you can't be at this level and make that many mistakes.”

Kiah Stokes postgame on the do-or-die feeling to win a championship in game six: “At the end of the day, we just need 94 feet, two hoops, and each other.” I think we have the name of the movie.

For the third time in the Finals, the Valkyries hold the Dream to their lowest point totals of the season. 64 points in game 1, then 62 points in game 4, now 55 in game 5. Valks were also responsible for Dream’s regular-season low of 66. Their regular season average was 91.3 ppg.

Kiah Stokes has three 3pters, half the Valkyries’ total. Along with her record-setting block total in the Finals, should the Valks win the championship, this feels like the game Stokes locked up MVP.

Kiah Stokes has the most made threes in the game for the Valks! 2-3 on a night where the Valks are currently shooting 5-20 from distance.

Why. Why. Why??? (I know why)

The NBA has reached deals with Kalshi and Polymarket to make them the league's preferred prediction markets partners. The companies can now use NBA IP on their platforms, while the NBA gets right of approval on markets that they offer. That and more: www.nytimes.com/athletic/772...

Make-up hive, I need help finding a medium-to-full coverage foundation that is matte for HD cameras, no shine, or please suggest a setting powder to help combat shine.

Looking at the box score before Dubs Talk showtime and it’s loco that the Grizzlies had 27 turnovers resulting in 38 Warriors points and the Grizz still won. Warriors lead by 12 with 3:47 left to play…and the Grizz won. 17-0 run to close the game.

When a franchise wins a championship, typically team employees get rings. It’s a thank you to the people who do the grunt work. The Knicks dangled rings in front of employees via email…but if they clicked to select a ring design, it sent them to cyber security training. It was fake. Holy shit.

I’m stunned the Knicks would pull this stunt. It’s…mean. Just to put it plainly. Mean and unnecessary. Getting people’s hopes up, riding the good vibes of a championship. What a big F U to workers.

Hope is not a strategy, and in light of the news that the Warriors are looking to trade Porzingis, hoping to hang on until “we get some guys back” feels like a flashing neon sign of uh-ohh.

Here is the Warriors’ thesis for the season. Keep this in mind.

John Cena has been on a ton of podcasts lately and they’re enjoyable listens, hearing how wrestling is an improvisational art (I believe him!) and he’s grown as an actor being around some of the greats and his life perspective is deep and then the movie he’s promoting is…Matchbox. Absolute trash 😂

NEWS (From NBC): Game 1 of the 2026 WNBA Finals averaged 2.1 million viewers on NBC and Peacock, making it the most-watched WNBA Finals Game 1 ever. Dream vs. Valkyries is up 11% vs. last year’s Game 1 between Mercury and Aces.

The Dream were averaging 92.6 ppg in the post season. The Valkyries held them to 64 points, their season low. Defense will dictate the series, one where the Valkyries can shoot 32.1% FG and miss 26 threes and still win game one.

68-64 Valkyries win over Dream in a showdown between two excellent defensive teams. Tough shooting night in the percentages…in the 4Q, Valks went 4-16, 1-7 and the Dream went 2-20, 0-7.

A thought ahead of tomorrow’s game…some unfortunate souls like to position family-friendly and LGBTQ positivity as opposite things, but the crowds at Ballhalla are an example they’re compatible, awesome vibes.

Yes! And the Chicago Sky must be pooping themselves. Drafted Gabby. Drafted Angel. Both went elsewhere to reach their potential. Fit is everything, with a coach who believes in you and knows how to draw out your best.

Even as a Valks fan, there are few things I enjoy more than watching Angel Reese prove the haters wrong.

This is responsible, and an honest thing to say…but it sure is sad hearing it.

Today is the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Black Panther Party for Self-defense; founded by Huey P Newton and Bobby Seale in Oakland California. October 15, 1966. Let's revisit their ten-point plan and how it holds up today

A problem with addressing rumors is once you deny one, if you don’t deny the next one, well that one must be true, via internet logic. And then all your time will be spent denying the dumbest theories from the dumbest minds. There is no upside.

The last part of Porzinigis’ tweet makes me furious, that he’d even have to say something like that to address stupid gutter rumors, and it reminds me of the stupid gutter rumors Andrew Wiggins dealt with during his personal absences. The worst “fan” behaviors are getting nastier.
