The fact it’s this close says a lot.

one week from midterms: democrats lead +8 on generic ballot, per npr/marist reflecting broad dissatisfaction w/ trump’s gop..

Holy crap. Do not go down the rabbit hole of social posts regarding Three Rivers. You will be astounded at the lack of empathy, the amount of hate, delusions, and xenophobia. It's trumpistan with a red mud tinge.

The municipal candidates in three rivers have a lot of dreamy talking points, most of which have nothing to do with municipal areas of responsibility. How are they supposed to be effective when they don't even know their roles?

First day of advance voting and I have no idea who these people are, what their values are or what they want to accomplish. Not sure there were meet and greets or any events at all.

It's actually very difficult to find out who these people are. What pithy information is available is behind a paywall.

I attended a presentation yesterday showcasing a positive use case for Ai - it was indeed positive - but I still believe that writing and reading are cognitive processes we need to preserve and that not all time saving devices are necessary if all it leads to is more time for more work.

"Apple, Google, Meta, and Uber are collectively worth more than $10 trillion. When an economic engine is that powerful, it doesn't have to be malicious to reshape humanity … "

Trying to navigate Public Mobile's dashboard for my daughter. I am astounded just how bad interface design still is - error messages that are incorrect - flows that don't work. This stuff isn't new. Many of the problems have been solved years ago. If these teams cared, these issues wouldn't appear.

Talking to someone from Fredericton at the airport in Toronto. I now know all about her kids. Maritimers are the friendliest people you will meet anywhere.

I feel like I won the lottery. I have my first appointment with my family doctor next week. I haven’t had one since I was in elementary school

Flying to Calgary today for a conference. Will be surprised if the flight leaves on time from Charlottetown.

My goal for the new year, I'm getting an early start, is to finally spell "a lot" correctly and to now the difference between "a lot" and "allot" when I am typing it.

Taken last weekend after finished the half marathon but before I went to the ER to make sure I hadn't suffered a heart attack. It wasn't a great run.

My office outside cam is great at tracking the animals - mostly raccoons and skunks. Sometimes a fox. The neighbors feral cat during the day.

Such as things are on the Island, an innocent activity involving the Buddhists on the Montague waterfront requires two armed RCMP officers patrolling.

Though he is quite dim, he is a master of many things like, projection through scapegoating. I just can't open my web browser without witnessing another horror show down in orange town.

Only on PEI Facebook would someone equate Buddhist monks to Nazi's. How people can be so ignorant and full of hate is a mystery.

So much I don’t understand- like separatism. Quebec is no Singapore. Plamondon is no Lee Kuan Yew. Perhaps too much optimism in their rhetoric.

Oh cool. Memory is on sale for only twice as much as it was 2 years ago, not four times as much like yesterday.

Had hoped to give the grass a final cut today but the heavy rain last night will cancel that idea. Beautiful day for it otherwise.

Thought of dumping my current mobile plan until I saw the prices elsewhere. What a scam this industry is in Canada.

I just lost two hours deep in the weeds on a task that has no real importance for me right now. It could have waited. No wonder I am always working.

Any interaction outside the task at hand, no matter if it is email, or a simple search , eventually ends up with me looking at some series of stupid videos. I'm always distracted by shiny objects - just like my cats.

I have a half-marathon this weekend and haven’t run in 6 weeks. I don’t think it will be as fun as originally hoped.

Twenty-seven years ago Tuesday the 921 earthquake left more than 2,400 people dead and 100,000 without homes. A whole mountain and town disappeared, if I remember correctly. I’ll never forget the sounds and the absolute helplessness.
