MACKLEMORE CALLS OUT ICE AND DEFENDS PALESTINE DURING COLORADO CONCERT Macklemore returned to the stage Thursday night, October 22, at a sold-out Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado

A hero for our times No matter who you are, your circumstances, your age, or number of injustices you’ve endured—you can find beauty and purpose I fall short more than not, but I’m not giving up Thank you Mr. Tyler for sharing your art with the world and inspiring us to choose hope over despair

Women are regularly misdiagnosed and dismissed by the medical community — it’s a systemic mind fuck I suffered for YEARS with debilitating pain and a spectrum of physical symptoms that were brushed off until i was finally dx’d with severe endometriosis and successfully treated

Hains Point Hoopla 3.0 with @waba.org and Save East Po was a success! The people of DC do not want Donald Trump to take East Potomac Park from the people and turn it into a luxury destination. I'm working hard on Capitol Hill to stop it

OMG 💀 It shall now be forever known as the “Giant Murder Arch” We need a Monty Python skit stat

Nothing screams “peaceful transfer of power” quite like a giant murder arch in the middle of Washington, D.C.

POWERFUL MOMENT Americans forming a human chain around the Kennedy Center to protect a national memorial from a president threatening to tear it down. JFK’s niece, Kerry Kennedy, called on people to show up, and they did. This will never be the Trump Center, in the people’s eyes.

🎉 Maybe we are learning - push hard for rulings before the damage is done

A win! A federal judge just put a major guardrail around any possible demolition of the Kennedy Center’s main building. Judge Christopher Cooper ordered the Trump-controlled Kennedy Center to give more than 30 days’ written notice before changing its plans in any way that would involve demolition.

Today, 25 years after 9/11, we still remember. We remember the clear skies. We remember the people killed. We remember the resilience and unity that followed. With this photo of the sky above the Obama Presidential Center today, we remember alongside the 911 Memorial. #NeverForget911 #RememberTheSky

🧵 25 years ago I was pregnant with my second and feeling tired so I turned on the TV for my two year old—a rarity It was a stunning day in DC with a tinge of autumn and deep blue skies The news cut in and I watched as the first tower was hit, and listening to the newscasters speculate 1/2

The collective fear and unknowing was tangible I frantically tried reaching my friends in NYC, my friends on the Hill, my then-husband who worked near the embassies, my parents who lived near the Naval Observatory

My parents came to our house, husband walked home, and I thought at least we are together That began a terrible autumn of scrambled jets and color coded daily threat levels I will never forget watching the towers being hit, collapsing— knowing that thousands were dead #neverforget

Was it a small plane or helicopter off course? The assumption was that it was an accident of some sort Then the second plane hit. After hustling my daughter to her adjacent playroom and away from the TV, I watched the events unfold trying to understand what was happening We were under attack

Think you’re allergic to penicillin? Ask your doctor about getting evaluated. Most people with a penicillin-allergy label aren't actually allergic, and confirming that can help keep the safest, most effective antibiotics available when you need them. Read more from CIDRAP:

“What is it?” 🐄 “We don’t know.” “Where’s it from?” “We don’t know.” “Why don’t we know?” “They don’t have to tell us.” “Will it help ranchers?” “No. They’re actually pretty pissed.” 🧑‍🌾 @morningbrew roasts Trump’s tariff-free import of 300,000 metric tons of beef

NO media 1000s are marching in DC to defend voting rights; 90 orgs signed on, Reuters sent photographers, but local media Bernie Sanders, AOC and Martin Luther King III attended Wa Post buried it A Black-led march is visible in DC only after somebody else reports it Repost the march they buried
