A despicable ad from Vivek Ramaswamy who is a despicable person. Desperate Republicans have run some horrible, dishonest ads to distract from their failures in office, but maybe none worse than this one.

If an amendment to your constitution results in children routinely being shot in school then it's time to amend it again.

People in blue states loves to shit on places like Ohio. But Ohio gave you Rep. Joyce Beatty. I am so proud to be represented by her in Congress.

Christopher Webb@cwebbonline.com

This is why Trump can’t stand Black women. They don’t take his shit. Let’s appreciate Rep. Joyce Beatty for being the fighter we need. Trump: “I think you’re incompetent.” Beatty: “I know you’re incompetent.” Then she reminded him: “You had more bankruptcies than anybody in the room.” 🔥

9/11 victim Michael Massaroli’s son: "You do my dad's legacy & the legacy of all victims no honor using this tragedy to spread hate. I've had to spend 25 years seeing people use it to hate on our Muslim brothers & sisters, people who don't look like them."

Picked this of the many "AI is down posts" to repost because it literally took the words out of my mouth. Now, if all the AI could just stay down until the end of the semester.

Meanwhile, I'm still working Who's getting "left behind" now bitch

I've spent years arguing against so-called Generational Theory (which ain't a theory, btw), but perhaps now I'll just ask, when you say boomer, you talking about Dolly, Tim, or that other one born in 1946? Explain to me again how they're all the same because they were born the same year.

Providing school children with free meals is better than posting The Ten Commandments and then ignoring their hunger.

As anyone in publishing will tell you, women do not resist reading books by men, but men will often dismiss books by women. This is not a publishing problem or a failure to target men. It's a misogyny problem.

So the official Republican stance is that domestic violence and child abuse are family matters and that everyone outside the family should just turn a blind eye and let a man pump himself full of T and beat his wife and child. Got it. The bear. Every time.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

RAJU: Sen. Moreno is calling for Max Miller to resign. Do you side w/Moreno? THUNE: It's a family matter &, um, I don't have any observations beyond that Q: If a member of Congress is facing domestic abuse allegations, should they continue to serve? T: It's a House matter. It's a family issue too

Brought to you by the people who claim that their transphobia is only about protecting women.

This is about Hegseth’s testosterone program. Fox is a disgusting, toxic, revolving network that platforms the worst of humanity, peddles in lies, and pays people well to put it all on full display. But this seems to be what their viewers want, which says a lot about them as well.

I just sent this out to Democracy Docket premium members, but in light of the Postmasters comments this morning threatening voting by mail, I felt it is urgent to post it online for everyone. Please read and share. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/mail...

This morning my 93-yr-old mom had a catastrophic stroke. After 20 yrs vanquishing many serious illnesses and injuries, this is it. She won’t recover, but we’re waiting for my sister to fly in. While we’re in limbo I haven’t told friends yet, but it helps saying it to anonymous strangers here.

Thank you, Scott Pelley, for "It's working for me!" I promise to use it whenever I'm told I'm being unreasonable or inappropriate or overly demanding for not complying with fascists.

Oliver Darcy got the audio of the heated 60 Minutes meeting where Scott Pelley dressed Nick Bilton down! "You know what was rude? Black Thursday. That was the absolute definition of rudeness. Telling Tanya Simon she had to be out of here at five o'clock." www.status.news/p/scott-pell...

UC Berkeley Law creates new AI policy that bans AI for "conceptualizing, outlining, drafting, revising, translating, or editing any work submitted for credit" or exams because "thinking remains the sine qua non of good lawyering (and of a quality legal education)." That's what I'm talking about.

I’m a day late, but congratulations to Beau Greaves on being the first woman to win a PDC #darts championship, and beating 3 former world champions to do so, including legend Gary Anderson.

Suddenly, my childhood road trips don't seem so bad. Yeah, I had to sit in the middle, and we ate sandwiches instead of stopping at restaurants, and the only entertainment was mom reading aloud from the TripTik, but at least my dad never brought a severed raccoon penis back to the car. #RFKjr

Came across this old photo of our Poppy, who passed away last summer. I feel like he should live on as a meme. I can imagine many situations that this look would be right for.

Search-and-rescue crews were “flying blind” trying to rescue survivors from deadly tornadoes that hit the Midwest last week. Why? Because Kristi Noem hadn't approved FEMA’s $200,000 contract with a tornado-tracking tool. But she had time to spend $220 million on anti-immigrant ads. Priorities.

Finally some clarity! So as long as I don't have my students change Churchill into a beaver, I needn't worry about Ohio's new law on what we can teach, right? Right? I'm assuming we can still teach about Liz Truss and the Head of Lettuce, though, since that is NOT the definition of woke.

shardcore@shardcore.org

i, for one, am delighted that we finally have a definition of “woke”

We Ohioans aren't used to seeing our absent and lazy Senator #Husted in the news, but he's stepped it up this week, taking time away from testifying in the First Energy corruption scandal and avoiding questions about his ties to #LesWexner in order to call poor people stupid.
