I'm so annoyed about Google taking away Google Assistant and then holding basic features like reminders hostage behind the "let us train on all your data" permissions. I'm setting up my own local voice assistant.

My new apartment lease starts in 5 days and the apartment complex is already trying to force yet another unnecessary fee on us that they were too stupid to include in the lease. Good luck guys, this isn't the first time we've called you out on breaking the law and we don't back down that easlly.

Apparently bluesky added a feature to disable reposts on a per-account basis. That's huge, there's been a lot of people I've avoided following because I didn't want dozens of reposts clogging up my feed every day.

I've been working on Craftamari today and was thinking it's really shocking they've still never added sandstorms to the game. Especially when the sky darkens for weather in deserts already.

My apartments maintenance is driving me crazy. They came over last Friday, said they'd fix the problem with our fans on Monday. On Wednesday they marked it as complete so then we resubmitted the request. They came today claiming we asked them to fix our shower curtain rod....

None of those words were even in our request. I say no, this is the same issue from Friday. He says he'll come back later, the day ends and they mark it as completed again.

Soon after this they texted us saying they wouldn't fix it because every apartment in the complex is like that. Then after we called to complain they said their manager would call us back later but instead texted us saying they finally actually looked at the picture and would fix it. It's now fixed.

Every year or two I'll take a vacation and tell myself I'll spend the vacation working on projects. It's never actually worked out as planned until now. Feels good.

Fun Fact: I've had 50 ideas for skills so far. I say so far because the 3rd page of skills in the interface feels a bit too empty. I've been done brainstorming new skill ideas for a week now but you never know when a new one might come to me.

Winding down my Skills Go Up work for this week so I went ahead and finally got my old minecraft mod Craftamari working in Minecraft 1.20.4. I started the conversion from 1.20.2 probably 2 years ago and got stuck. It's not perfect but it at least runs now.

Instead of making it run perfect I just spent a day converting it from forge to neoforge. Was quite a bit of work and even less things work now probably but the mod does run so that's something. This was necessary to bring it to more recent versions anyway.

I've decided I will spend the rest of my vacation working primarily on Skills Go Up features. Then next week I'm going to finally build the custom chunk-based map editor I've been wanting for years. Obviously I'll be using it in Skills Go Up but I've been wanting it for Pyco Mundi too.

I've been setting up my wifes old pc as a living room TV gaming system and I found out that nvidia actually won't let you install the nvidia app if you have a 980 ti. You have to find an old link to geforce experience which they do not provide, install that and then it will update to the nvidia app.

Finally tried out installing 3ds homebrew. Decided to try it out on my 2ds just in case it bricked but it's fine. Now I can backup my pokemon saves to my computer =D

I've found it very hard to motivate myself to play the 3ds ever since I got a phone with data and also stopped going on long car trips with my family. Maybe it's finally time I beat Pokemon Sun lol.

It's funny to me games where the devs hand over development to another company but then they ask us to vote for them as the "labor of love" in the steam awards. Even if the updates have been mostly good I just can't justify it.

I'm considering treating programming more like a job this year. I'd actually schedule out hours of the week where I have to work on projects even if I don't feel like it.

It's funny how my Amazon package can be out for delivery for 10 hours and then suddenly at midnight it's "delayed due to an issue at the facility." It really annoys me when you can tell the tracking information is just making up automated excuses.

Back when I built my current computer 5 years ago I always intended to upgrade to 32gb of RAM. I have finally achieved my goal, hopefully it helps Oblivion run better =p

I'd been putting it off due to cost but I grabbed 2 more Like New sticks of ram off ebay super cheap. I've adjusted how I purchase things over the last year and I'm getting a lot better at finding good deals.

Just once I'd like to be able to work on my computer hardware without it being a miserable experience lol. Finally got an NVME drive in my computer.

I'm excited, I wish I could have checked out the alpha but things got crazy and I forgot all about it.

YouTube tried to opt me in for automated mid roll ad placement again. I expect when that goes live a lot of inactive accounts will suddenly have a lot more ads.

Working on the Pyco Mundi website has me wondering why more game devs don't run their own wiki and/or guide sites. It's a great way to document your information for your own uses and if somebody is going to make a few dollars of ad revenue off a guide it might as well be you.

My older cat used to greet me at the door after work but he stopped when we got our second cat. I realized just now I could probably train both of them to meet me by keeping treats near the door and giving them out after work every day.

You might think they'd catch on when I stopped doing it every time. But Aryll still goes insane every time I touch a metal bowl because every once in a while we put wet food in them.

I got a co2 monitor last year because sometimes when recording long videos I'd start to feel pretty bad. I haven't recorded any long videos since getting it but something interesting has happened, the levels have gone way up as soon as it got warm outside.

I think what happens is when its cold outside the fresh outdoor air falls into my office through the vent when the heats not running. Once it hits 70+ outside that effect stops and my co2 jumps up to 1000+ ppm even without the door closed.
