Happy birthday Robert Picardo! He played The Doctor (and his creator, Dr. Zimmerman) on Star Trek: Voyager, co-wrote the episode “Lifeline,” and directed “Alter Ego” & “One Small Step.” He revived The Doctor on Prodigy and then on Starfleet Academy.

They all sting, #StarTrek — this one hurts because it got personal: #RIPWalterKoenig. What a fun, sharing, class act...far beyond #Chekov (and #Bester too), what a great late-life embrace of fans and being online, and one of the triggers for kicking off #TheConOfWrath. #moretocome #WatlerKoenig

YES! There should always be a clear line of separation between government/state and the religions scam mongers out there who want to live their lives based in the dumbest of lies ever told. Fuck anyone who thinks we should be governed by religious lies.

I am so sad. I got to interview Walter once and he was so wonderful... said "Keptain" to me in his fake Russian accent, complained about Shatner haters, and told me some great stories. He also blew me a kiss at the end when I told him how much it meant to me. RIP Walter.

Happy birthday to longtime Star Trek and comic book fan Anthony Rapp, who played astromycologist Paul Stamets on all five seasons of Star Trek: Discovery.

Watching more and more people who allegedly care about art and artists slink into using and sharing Generative AI is just a tad depressing. If you're happy to do that, then you're happy with stealing from the artists whose work was stolen to train those engines. No respect.

Depressing to hear the BBC propagating the non-story started by the Tories about the possibility of power cuts because of renewables A classic fossil fuel lie being given credibility by our public service broadcaster #BBCR4Today

"So, lets first establish that you are a liar, sir." Well of course, how else are you going to prove your dumbass claims if you don't at least attack your opponent at least once with a dumbass insult? That's why scientists and mathmaticians are always insulting each other while proving their work?
