This is such a banger post that the universe had to punish me by giving me a bleach chemical burn on my ear

I hope the Spotify devs know that there's some sicko out there who named her headphones "Subaru". And that causes the car connection icon to render in the mobile app. (In other news, I really like my Bose headphones and Re:Zero)

This trip to Japan, I brought two feminist fantasy books (one historical, one contemporary). I really enjoyed the first book (Six Wild Crowns). So far the second book makes all the male characters so mustache twirlingly evil. Hopefully thats just bad first impressions.

I totally get why: stories about female autonomy can be simply escapism- about a woman wielding the power to escape and find justice in shitty situations but... i like complex antagonists as a reader because it makes the story more interesting

Not to mention there's a weird "us versus them" energy when not a single man sides with the main female characters. It truly takes me out of the story, because there are some good men in the world. (Source: I love my boyfriend)

trying out a new kind of vibecoding where I press the buttons on my keyboard and code appears on the screen. the code doesn't work most of the time but after a few iterations it usually gets there

And in case its not obvious, no hate to Stardew, its still amazing. FoM just improves on the magic of Stardew in soo many ways. The dialogue + NPC interactions alone make Mistria a significantly better cozy farming game (not to mention the general quality of life improvements)

Windbreaker manga be like: Side character: “i eat convenience store food a lot since my family doesn’t cook” Sakura: “same” *tragic flashback to parents making him sit outside while they eat dinner bc they hated him*

It’s even more heartbreaking because that’s the norm to Sakura and he doesn’t know any better. Sakura: “doesn’t every teenage boys room look like this?” *points at an empty room with a cheap futon* Friends: “we should take a trip to the mall ✌︎('ω')✌︎ “

I still unironically think about the last half of the Call of the Night manga. Still not 100% sure if that’s a mark of quality, but it really stands out in a sea of lukewarm/boring romance endings. At least until Toilet-bound Hanako-kun finishes.
