Masters of the Universe being a significantly more enjoyable film than Disclosure Day was not on my bingo card, but it was a gem. Fun, silly, self aware but not disrespectful, I hope it gets a sequel.

Better yet, don't! There's nothing to be gained by paying attention to a criminal grifter who has done nothing since the 90's, other than regularly betraying the people of Australia. #auspol

Wicked for Good was OK. It's a film where the real villain is the complicit 'useful idiot', saturated in privilege, who gets a somewhat happy ending. I guess that's real life in some ways. It begs the question: Is a person who doesn't know they're a dangerous arsehole as bad as the one who knows it?

Hmm. One Battle After Another. A ‘good’ flick with great performances and a mixed bag character-wise. I’d describe it best as a film served up with 5-6 chapters, each seemingly written and directed by different people. Some great cinematography in the chase scenes though.

So the antisemitism envoy and her husband are funding a far right group known for its efforts to counter multiculturalism, and Aboriginal advancement and equity. She should be removed. Immediately.

Ahhh NAIDOC Week. When every low achiever, oxygen thief, and prejudiced cretin crawls out of their hole to spew hate speech and prejudice towards First Peoples in Australia. How weak and ignorant must one be to be triggered by a celebration of culture and resilience?

Ours is a world where basement dwelling earwax eaters are spending all of their energies discussing how to sabotage an upcoming Superman movie. You know.. a film. A couple of hours of light entertainment. It's a good thing there's nothing more important in the world these fuckwits might focus on.

C’mon, enough with the small balls and minds political strategies. The media suggesting that we need to make bigger offers and crawl deeper up Trump’s arse in order to appease and save AUKUS are beyond a joke. Trump is an idiot bully shaped by cowardice. Hit him. Hard. We have the cards.

The US has shit the bed. And worse - a large percentage of their citizens are taking pleasure in it. There really is no reason for Australia to acknowledge anything the US says or does anymore. Not until it gets that tangerine, infantile halfwit out of its highest office.

It’s an interesting statement by Ley to refer to the Nationals as being those who represent rural Australia in the collation. The clear implication being that the Liberal Party does not view itself as being for all. #ozpol

When a bigot cries about the AFL hosting an Indigenous round, honouring Sir Doug Nicholls, suggesting we also have a First Fleet round, you know you're not dealing with the sharpest tool in the shed. I do wonder if he'll be the first to line up for the 20 lashes though.

Selfish, irresponsible, irrational, deceptive, constantly bitching and crying, and prone to blaming everyone & everything, and being resistant to reading. It's fascinating that right wing people are easily defined by those traits and actually think calling someone the opposite (woke) is an insult.

It’s a fascinating irony that any time the media refers to a “strongman” leader, per Putin or Trump, they’re typically referring to a snivelling coward, brutish idiot, or both. None of these dictators exhibit any real strength, either physical or mental. Nor do they wield power with any mastery.

So.. USA = rapidly being run into the ground by a fool; China will be strangled by a shrinking & aging population; Russia is a dysfunctional mess controlled by the definition of “small man syndrome”; India is still gestating, and the EU is full of ineffectual cowards. Who will fill the power vacuum?

My condolences to the penguins of McDonald and Heard Islands, the only inhabitants of these territories, where #Trump has placed a 10% #tariff. I don't really know how much krill is exported by the penguins, but I'm sure this will make sense in the long run for the dictator and his wiley schemes.

As much as Trump is an absolute moron, I do see long term value (after the market chaos and pain) in his tariffs. Not for the US however. The effect will be to strengthen domestic development in each affected nation and build closer ties around the globe, excluding overly selfserving US involvement.

Tyrese Proctor may be a junior, but he’s either only 1 year older, or in fact younger than some #NBAdraft prospects listed higher. Proctor 20.9 Edgecombe 19.5 Knueppel 19.5 Queen 20.1 Wolf 20.8 Murray-Boyles 19.7 Fleming 20.6 Thiero 20.8 Condon 20.5 Kalkbrenner 23.1 Karaban 22.3

In a better world we’d see leaders on an international stage state that until #Trump stops acting like a spoilt idiot child they would be withdrawing from meaningful interactions with the US until his playtime has passed. Alas, we’re surrounded by ineffectual and spineless nest liners. #ozpol

#AUKUS is done. When the Trump admin is flagging its preference for reneging on its sale of subs to Australia, which they already received $500 million for, preferring we pay for them to patrol our waters - you know that you're no longer dealing with a trust-worthy friend or ally. #auspol

The US is Australia's ally, but Trump is not. Until they get their shambolic house in order we should shutter Pine Gap and all US bases, naval engagements, and cancel any treaties and agreements. The US has a lot more to lose from betraying its historically most reliable ally.

Imagine seeing a person being strangled in the street in broad daylight. Then imagine you did nothing because you were too busy trying to understand the motivation as to why it happened. That's the United States and the rest of the world right now, looking on at Donald Trump's actions.

That so many people, particularly in the media, are genuinely and actively trying to analyze Trump's actions, as though he's intelligent and has some sort of chaos imbued masterplan, is wild. He's hateful, small, and stupid. Nothing more, thing less. He is successful because you allow it.

What a world we live in, where Europe and the rest of the world’s leaders sit on their hands, whilst a madman dictates an angry child’s agenda. When the Ukraine falls, the US is a failed state, and Palestinians are a memory it will be because of the inaction of all.

Australia and the rest of the world have had myriad wake up calls that they have failed to hear. Trump is megalomaniacal fuckwit with zero redeeming qualities - yet we still treat him like he’s not worth our scorn. Seriously - fuck that bloated tangerine ball sack and his idiotic cult of man babies.

That world leaders still reference Donald Trump with any respect is highly disturbing. Suffering fools in the hope that someday they *might* say something intelligent is one thing, but enabling them through silence when you know they are irredeemable is horrifying.

3: Wicked p1 is based on a show I’m unfamiliar with, but p1 plays out like a an unhinged celebration of privilege with a single catchy tune. Also visually - it looks cheap. Going for HDR and sugar coated was a choice I suppose. An odd lead performance as well.

2: The Brutalist was sledgehammer pretentiousness by a director who couldn’t tie up loose ends despite keeping 3.4 hours after editing. A powerful lead performance in an in-depth fictional biography which draws you in, spits you out and then farts in your face with its idiotic ending.

1: Dune p II was alright. Must have been shot in Hollywood’s idea of Mexico. So epic. So dust brown. Anora was brilliant and fresh, and Conclave was old school cool with a tiny touch of genius. A Complete Unknown was a jumble of truly interesting characters made somewhat uninteresting.

Australia, oh so quiet on the crimes being committed in Gaza. Barely a sound, not even to condemn Israel for having destroyed an Australian war memorial and cemetery in the throes of committing genocide.

The United States has always done illegal things, but its behaviour has always been tempered by denial and the work of some good people. Now the good people are mostly silent and are enabling the crimes, global horrors and cruelty. This is madness and the US sleep-voted for it. #usa #freegaza

Remember back in the day when The Age and Sydney Morning Herald were reasonably passable? When they kinda did news, rather than spruik whatever they are paid to write? Ahh, those were the less corrupted days.

Trump and Israel’s plan for relocating over 2 million people from Gaza to Egypt/Jordan is genocidal ethnic cleansing. Shame on the Australian and global media for not reporting it as such. This a huge failure. #gaza

Australia, a nation which ignores 65,000+ years of history, sustainability, diversity and culture, but celebrates when a prison was established. I reckon both my First Fleet and pre-1788 Koori ancestors would be equally irritated by such a misguided, rewritten wet fart approach to history.

My partner and I went and saw Conclave a few days ago. In our mid 40’s we were the youngest people in the audience by decades and the only ones not loudly whining about everything before the film even began (and during). Surrounded by Karens in the style of “Ayers Rock not Uluṟu”. Great film though.

On a global platform, if you ever want to see the true face of Australia - look up any page or discussion about Aboriginal art, history, achievement, sport, enterprise, or anything else positive and then look at how the commentary is dominated by prejudice, hate and truly mind boggling ignorance.

If you’ve ever felt uneasy around a Welcome to Country ceremony, I’m sorry you’re so fragile. Whilst some will question your obvious lack of knowledge and cultural competency, others recognise that you’re simply projecting your insecurities and fears around your own place in the world.

Being inclusive is not divisive, Peter. If sooking and stirring up fear by dog whistling continues to be all you’ve got, you’ll never be more than a distastefully rogue member of the deadly nightshade family, and an occasional unhelpful distraction.

You are up to date.
