The greatest sleep I ever did have came when I was in my early 20s and home from a bar in Queens before the sun came up. Mouth greasy from the fries at the all-night McDonalds we hit on the way home and still feeling cozily buzzed from the cocktails my friends bartender boyfriend snuck us all night

There is nothing wrong with drafting off someone else's name recognition to get into congress.

Breaking news: The Justice Department has moved to preemptively block certification of the results of Alaska’s Senate race if Republican incumbent Sen. Dan S. Sullivan loses his tight race against Democrat Mary Peltola next month.

I'd be down for a Glee revival helmed by Casper Kelly and the cast is trapped in a world of the show's creation where every commercial is a cheery sing-songy abomination and they slowly go insane because everyone performatively sings everything everywhere they go. Like the Buffy musical.

I don't know why you don't just fold Glee into a season of American Horror Story

🚨 A ‘GLEE’ revival has been officially ordered at Disney+ and Hulu. No cast members are currently announced to return.

How long until the administration awards every American child to SpaceX?

The Washington Post@washingtonpost.com

Elon Musk pledged to award a share of SpaceX to every American child, part of what he has vowed as an effort to unleash “universal high income” through AI. “This will be the first of many,” Musk said on X.

Different enough? No more martinis, Walther PPKs, and Aston Martins. Jimmy Bond is American now. He's crushing PBRs, wielding a sawed-off shotgun, and he drives a Cybertruck. No more sleeping around. He's fiercely monogamous to his AI girlfriend. No more suits. Carhartt overalls ALL DAY.

Cutting off your parents is a sometimes unavoidable tragedy. Like severing a necrotic limb. But if you don't do it, they'll take you down with them. It's been 11 years for me. I hate it, but I don't hate myself for doing it. Screw this one-size-fits-all moral bludgeoning. Do what's right for you.

This is a quietly metastasizing moral panic

The massive traveling Eddie Murphy head they used to promote the film Meet Dave was, at one point, going to be used as a feature at Eddie Murphy's pool. Then the creator wanted to launch it over Niagra Falls. Instead, it got harmlessly dismantled. authory.com/JasonTabrys/...

We all know the "Viggo broke his toe" story but what's another movie fact you're personally compelled to bring up every time without prompting? For me, it's the fact that Robin Tunney is wearing a wig in The Craft because of having just shaved her head to save her job filming Empire Records.

Drag shows are awesome, as are pride marches. Tell me more!

Roger Marshall: "He supports drag shows. And gay price marches. And he tells us to apologize for the color of our skin."

These digital twins will still have to come into the physical office, though.

This is not the takeaway I would have from this news and we don’t have to frame him playing a contact sport while sleep deprived like this. Football’s reliance on this gamer/warrior narrative is really insidious.

I was DESPERATE for money and took a job making fundraising calls for the republican party circa 2009. I made it through 2 hours of training and 1 unsuccesful call. Walked out and went directly to a bar to wait for my wife to pick me up.

Actually, I am being reminded that my now wife and I got hired to work at Walmart when we were at Kmart, and she leveraged the offers to get us both promoted. Which was some baller shit. So I guess that's the shortest-tenured job: 0 hours.

“First single you bought with your own money. No lying!" I have, possibly, the most embarassing answer... a Hanson single, but not even Mmmbop. I remember, vividly, buying it at the mall. it was at the register and an impulse buy. Such a quetionable impulse. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hT_d...

Reminded of the time a maroon stretch limo from the 80s with cracked seats and falling ceiling panels picked us up for an under the table fare when we were walking back to our car after NYCC and then he drove backwards for half a block when he missed the garage.

ARTIFICIAL feels like a defining film of our decade, its depiction of our society on the brink of an AI revolution/cliff chilling, fascinating and drenched in the Musk of tech bros’ toxic masculinity. Luca Guadagnino’s direction is propulsive, electric and operatic. Wow! #LFF
