first time wearing in-ear buds with (extremely good) active noise cancellation and man, it's a weird sensation when you take them back out. outside noise suddenly pouring back into your head, like rushing to fill a vacuum. hard to describe.

will our hero return his purchase and look for a solution elsewhere? or is he lazy and pampered enough to keep around another expensive piece of electronics just in case? tune in next week to find out! (spoiler: it's almost certainly option b)

Deleted Twitter from my last device today. Good riddance.

so it turns out the mic quality on the bose quietcomfort ii buds is abysmally bad. the ANC is amazing and the audio quality for music is up there too, but calls are a big reason i bought these for and they're pretty much unusable for that. le sigh.

oh, the irony. i start looking into buying a domain for the first time in a very long time and it seems to me google domains is pretty much the nicest experience around for this kind of stuff 🥲 wtf is google doing killing that off?

ya know what, imma go and use google domains anyway just of out spite. it's not for anything important anyway.

welp, i just bought _another_ pair of headphones/earbuds 🙈 this brings my collection up to at least five pairs that i'm actively using in rotation and about a dozen or so that are collecting dust somewhere in a box. this is completely normal.
