I'm building a native Linux video editor designed to be a joy to use so you can focus on creativity whether you're doing simple editing or educational Vox style videos

I started working on a Linux video editor for myself as I had enough of how unintuitive the ones I tried are and to take advantage of modern hardware so everything is GPU-accelerated which I also plan to open source when it's ready

I hate when I open some software and have to make a decision before I can do anything so I skip it for the personal Linux video editor I'm working on using Rust and GPUI and make it easy to change it later

I know it's a meme but I vibe coded an editor where I use Animotion to make videos using code and sync the audio so I don't need other software to make the final video anymore and I can add any feature I want ๐Ÿ˜„

After about a year, on and off, I am veeeery happy to release TWINKLEPLOP, a syntax highlighter of tremendous power! The speed of prism with the customisation of Shiki. twinkleplop.pngwn.at

I made a Svelte code sandbox package a while ago and made improvements since then so if you need one for your next project look no further ๐Ÿ˜„ โ€ข Includes Web and Svelte sandbox โ€ข Light, themable, responsive โ€ข Handles imports

It's awesome how much the web platform evolved I replaced a UI library with the native Popover API and anchor positioning Give the Modern Web Guidance set of skills to the clanker for the latest features and how to use them github.com/GoogleChrome...

GLM 5.3 Flash and DeepSeek V4 Flash stable price comparison It's cheaper even without 50% discount and cache hits are more expensive but it's more token efficient I used it as Ox Alpha and now on the OpenCode Go sub at 2x usage

Text morphs are cursed due to how browsers render text and it looks worse when you render each frame to video ๐Ÿ’€ I almost used a crossfade instead in Animotion until I learned that you can change how text is rendered ๐Ÿ˜Œ

I also added `reveal` and `crossfade` helpers for lists and crossfading between items ๐Ÿ”ฅ

I made some usability improvements for revealing elements inside of an Animotion scene ๐Ÿช„ You can use the `step` and `progress` value from the scene to swap and reveal things based on the current step and progress ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Layout transitions in Animotion 2 handle existing transforms, border radius, and color transitions ๐Ÿช„ This includes calculating the roundness for cursed edge cases like `rounded-full` since it uses `calc(infinity * 1px)` ๐Ÿ’€

Layout transitions in Animotion 2 use a more advanced FLIP animation technique ๐Ÿช„ It handles enter/exit transitions even if the element was removed from the DOM by Svelte using ghost elements ๐Ÿ‘ป You can also define custom enter/exit transitions besides default options ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Layout animations is my favorite feature I'm working on for Animotion 2 Give the element you want to participate in the layout transition a name and it figures out the rest You can morph unrelated elements or change the layout in other ways like in this example
